It's dessert time, what's your perfect post-dinner treat?

I mix peanut butter with oatmilk and appel syrup and I eat it all up like a dog with two dicks.

If you've never done this, I suggest giving it a try:

A medjool date that's been soaked in hot water, then take it out of the water, place it above a bar of dark chocolate of the same length, and eat it together (like nigiri) in one bite.

I say it should be dark because the date provides all the sugar and milkyness you'll need.

You'll want to chew on that forever 🤤

Chocolate cheesecake. Always makes me feel sick but in a good way.

I'm stuck between strawberries with honey, and a few scoops of stracciatella or vanilla chocolate chip ice cream with an espresso poured over it.

Watermelon slices with Tajin spice which is a chili lime spice. The absolute best.

I really like basic vanilla cake with buttercream frosting.

I do like sweets sometimes. Ricotta cake with raspberries is the house favorite; tiramisu is amazing, cheesecake is great, ice cream, or a fruit salad. Those are all so good.

I love tiramisu. It’s the only desert I’m remotely interested in if I go out for dinner.

C'mon, you can't ask us to pick just one. Sometimes you feel like something creamy, sometimes you want crunchy, at times even fruity.

Actually, it's cheesecake. This week. Because my wife has banned it from the house.

Plain af New York style cheesecake. You weirdos that put berries on it are strange.

A big bowl of sleep

Blue Diamond makes these blueberry-flavored almonds that are amazing.

I don't do much dessert any more.

Carrot cake with a lot of cinnamon and cardamom and cream cheese frosting is the biggest exception. Or just like chocolate chip banana bread.

Throw some Costco Ghirardelli brownie mix in a mug

Add a little milk and stir

Microwave for roughly 45 seconds, until it starts bubbling, then quickly stop

Throw some vanilla ice cream on top

Eat it up with a glass of milk on the side

i went to an ice cream parlor once and ordered a banana split, but they were out of bananas. And while i did not go immediately across the street and buy a single banana from the grocery store right there, i decided that it was worth it during my next grocery run to purchase a carton of ice cream and some toppings and make them at home. and I've been doing that at home for almost two years now as my go to dessert

Cup of coffee. I don't want to eat anything else. I literally just ate.

A week or two ago, I made my wife some peanut butter cookies, because she really likes those. I decided to keep half the dough in the fridge so I could make more fresh. The next day I grabbed a nice dark chocolate square from a bowl we keep on the counter and thought, "I wonder how the league butter dough would be on this." Oh my god, it was like the best Reese's peanut butter cup you've ever had. Truly amazing.

Whatever is around with lots of sugar or fat. Icecream, cookies, cake, potato chips.

blackberries and strawberries

To be honest I've been enjoying a bowl of frozen wild blueberries as an evening snack. Good antioxidants and fiber to boot but it tastes like icecream for me.

Imagine red bean soup, with a slight taste of coconut.

Just some quite time with my wife. If it has to be some type of food, then seasonal fruit.

Sticky toffee pudding. Warmed up with some vanilla iced cream.

Earl Grey Pie, it's really easy if you use frozen pie crusts.

I'm with you on tiramisu. If I could only have one dessert for the rest of my life, that would be it!

Ice cream or frozen custard, especially now that it’s so hot.

Lemon Ice, something about it is just nice in a way I can't really describe, and whenever I get into that headspace of wanting to share food with someone it's one of the first things I think of

A short black. Sometimes chocolate fudge ice cream or something, but rarely.

Harris Teeter (Kroger subsidiary) -brand "Private Selection" chocolate ganache ice cream. It makes all other chocolate varieties pale in comparison. I let it sit on the counter a little to soften, or I'll very briefly microwave it if I am impatient. I legit get a nice big eyelid-fluttering dopamine hit with every spoonful.

A sandwich of a couple of frozen Entenman's (Local brand?) Mini chocolate chip cookies with a spoonful of Ben & Jerry's Phish Food filling.

I like m&m blizzards from dairy Queen but don't live near a DQ, so I don't often get them. I also feel bad that the employees are forced to turn them upside down when they present them to me. DQ has more interesting blizzard flavors but for some reason the boring m&Ms are my preference. DQ also has this peanut buster parfait, which sounds sexual in my head, but I like that one too. I swear this isn't a DQ account. Their hot food sucks ass and I suspect their employees make slave wages.

I Also go crazy for chocolate chip cookies, and chocolate cake, and chocolate donuts.

I’ll often choose an after-dinner drink, because I usually stuff myself during the main course. Maybe I’ll order an Espresso Martini. Or I’ll go full Dude and order a White Russian. Or whatever else looks good.

When stumped, I’ll ask the server for a suggestion. I try to give them something to work with, like “sweet”, “creamy” or “citrusy”.

Banana cream pie.

The bakery we usually buy bread at has had banana cream tarts as one of their desserts of the month, and the sweets case has been a lot more tempting than usual the last several trips. I'm both relieved and bummed they'll be gone tomorrow.
