Rogan isn't bad because a lot of guys like him (In addition to many women, mind you), Rogan is bad because he platforms right wing bullshit and conspiracy nutjobs.
not gonna argue the semantics of 'being involved', or of any gay sex joke for that matter, with any of you 12 smartasses who wrote the exact same thing 🤓🤓🤓🤓
But do you feel like something different than "man"?
In this case you would be the first person Ive " met" (yeah internet and stuff. I dont know a good coresponding word for "meeting" on the internet. Any help btw?)
That's simple. Growing facial hair isn't cool, it's facial hair itself that's cool.
Someone with a big walrusy Wilford Brimly moustache is cooler than someone who's working on growing a moustache.
Well groomed, long hair, like well-maintained, thick, stretched earlobes, communicate patience and the ability to finesse your way through difficult, potentially uncomfortable situations in service of a larger, long term goal. Unfortunately, you can be very patient at becoming an asshole as well as becoming a decent, well rounded person. Facial hair doesn't make you cool. Being a cool person makes you cool.
As an enby I respectfully disagree. I personally don't enjoy the stage of facial hair where it looks like crap but I like beards and if I could make it past that stage without chopping it off I think I would very much enjoy letting it grow.
I’m very glad for my eyebrows and eyelashes, and there’s that Sikh woman (relevant because of the religious ban on cutting hair) whose wedding picture went viral like a decade ago. She had a pretty full beard and had styled it beautifully with small flowers woven into it.
I know someone who has given up on figuring out what their gender is. They'll happily accept any pronouns but hear "she/her" most often due to their appearance. She wants a beard so bad, and already grows a tiny mustache.
I would really love to have a beard. I have joked that I am clearly wishing I were a dwarven woman, because besides this, I am very happy with my assigned gender at birth
I also have a friend who, due to hormonal stuff, naturally grows an extremely thick and impressive beard and wishes that they didn't have to shave it (if they don't, they get hate crimed :( )
Some of us were doing facial hair before it was cool....
... And some of us started going bald in their teens and wanted beards to help cover up double chins and a tiny mouth but did enjoy a brief period of looking like white Jesus before that happened 🧔♀️
Some obscure math, and obscure programming languages. I dunno, but it feels like no women would be dumb enough to devote tons of effort into things like haskell-adjacent languages.
If you watch Caleb Hammer on youtube that does financial audit, there was a girl on there who had some massive debts, and one of the reason was crashing her jag and getting another one.
What? Did you mean climbing? That's a bad example, and so are the rest except woodworking. Climbing is close to 50/50 men and women. For gaming, the male bias is only for very male-oriented games, which is is logical, obviously there are more female oriented games and those have a female majority, and then we have the vast majority of games which isn't a big majority in either way. And extreme sports are also pretty even.
Woodworking is the only one here that is close to truth, and a big reason for that is simply the male-oriented tradition of it, many women who try it get their interest shut down just because of that shitty tradition and history of "it's a man think, women can't do this".
Your post only manages to show your own subjective, in a bad way, and ignorant views of these things. I highly doubt you have much knowledge about any of these them, and if you do it's a very narrow part of that thing. Like if you only play CS, CoD etc.
It's sad that people still think this way, and are unaware of their own shitty subjectivity.
"Only XYZ like ABC" is equivalent to: "Everyone who likes ABC is also an XYZ."
Since everybody likes at least something, there is no one who likes nothing. The statement: "Everyone who likes nothing is also a man" is true because the "Everyone who likes nothing" part results in 0 people. And it's true to say that everyone in a group of 0 people is a man. It's also true that everyone in a group of 0 people is not a man.
But other than vacuous truths, no sentence stating "Only man like XYZ" is true.
I know a few women who enjoy 40k. But the ones I know enjoy it like how I enjoy it... Just painting figurines, making little dioramas, and pretending like we understand the rules while some smarter player gives up and just tells us what to do next.
personally, the only person i've known who actually played wh40k was a woman (she played tyrannids). i've been wanting to get into it since they introduced leagues of votaan, but it is a pricey fuckin hobby to get into.
And then you're hanging out in your local shop looking at some Space Dwarfs and stroke up a conversation with a dude who starts talking about the Black Templars and how cool they are for defending the Imperium just like All of the Real Crusaders which is honestly kind of weird because the dude is fucking Asian?
Agree with the mansplaining angle. Passionate people like to explain, combine this with not being the most socially adept and voila you have mansplaining.
I have hobbies that are very male-dominated, but I know they're not cool, and that doesn't bother me. I'm happy being uncool and enjoying my hobbies.
I think the difference is that some boys are unembarrassed about liking Joe Rogan, and make it their whole personality. You should feel a little embarrassed to admit that you listen to Joe Rogan. You should feel embarrassed that you're obsessed about WWE or UFC. But, it's not just male things. Niche interests, especially niche interests that are gender-specific are things that don't make you cool. Like, a girl who is obsessed with makeup tutorials on TikTok shouldn't think that makes her cool either.
Tomorrow's the SuperbOwl. If some guys are super excited about that, it's fine. They should just acknowledge that being obsessed with a sport played by other people isn't cool. It's as uncool as Warhammer 40k or... trains.
having a small penis doesn't make anyone a bad person, all your other terms are fair and objectively bad, but how do you bot realize you are potentially hurting perfectly decent people with the last one? I know its a widespread practice and that and I am not really mad about it, but it still amazes me how the insult is still used. If someone is an abusive, narcissistic misogynist then that's bad enough, don't gotta go there.
Think about your harmless bros with insecurity issues over this thing that doesn't make them a lesser person.
I apologize if anything I said appears judgemental or degrading. It was intended as I personally view people that are concerned with size like someone handed a fine instrument that is concerned about the recycling value of the metal and wood. Or, someone that compares movies and songs where they focus on brevity as a primary measure of performance benchmark. I will try to avoid the comment in the future
There's nothing wrong with a small penis, but misogynists usually disagree with that so it's a jab to say they have a small penis. I'm not making fun of the penis, I'm making fun of the misogynist who cares so much in a bad way.
Although it does come across like you say, so maybe I should stop.
having a small penis doesn’t make anyone a bad person
nor does being born with narcissistic personality disorder. It's not the person's fault to be born this way. Problems arise only if they refuse to be treated, because then they could harm someone
I think the key is not "small penis", it's "misogynist small penis". You can't decide your penis (and side note, sometimes a below average penis is sooo much better to handle for the othet party than an oversize log that poses so many problems), you can decide to be an asshole though
I think there's truth in it either way. Although I can't think of many things only men like, expanding it to "anything dominated by an overwhelming proportion of men to woman" still works. I think they're more cringe than uncool though.
