What food and or drink will you eat when you are senile and forget you already had it the meal before?
At the end of his life, my grandpa subsisted on 2 pints of strawberry banana yoplait yogurt and a pack of Coors light a day. What dietary hell will you fall into?
That’s one of the few gluten laced things I will gladly sacrifice for. I boil the seasoning right in the water and add garlic and Asian hot spices in it.
Sometimes being my flavor of neuro divergent really sucks lmao. I do not have a favorite food. I don't even really have a favorite flavor. I don't even like to drink coffee multiple days a week, which is why I have a cabinet with 30 odd types of teas and tisanes.
I don't even have a favorite texture or flavor profile of food. I definitely prefer bitter and spicy to sweet, but that's about it. And I find the act of eating comforting in itself, but I have nothing I can point to as a comfort food.
Farofa with nuts! (It's actually tasty. Specially with walnuts, bacon, and raisins. I wouldn't be preparing it if senile though - I'd completely forget about Christmas.)
Diet Pepsi (specifically from the individual bottles, the other taste different to me) and bagged popcorn. If LesserEvil isn't out of business, you'll find me mummified under their pink salt popcorn. Don't weep, for it will mean I went with a joyous heart and probably choking on a kernal.
Zest a small bag of lemons, 4 to 5, then peel the lemons and reserve the zest with the lemon flesh.
Get a box of strawberries and chop off the tops before cutting up and tossing in with the zest and lemon flesh.
Get a cup of cane sugar, and pour it into the bowl before tossing the whole mess together as much as possible, then spread it into a baking pan.
Either hit it with a kitchen torch, or slap it under the broiler for 2 minutes.
Toss it all in the blender with 2 cups of chilled water and give it just enough pulses to get it all combined together.
Strain it into a bowl, then strain it again back into the blender.
Add in 1 to 3 cans of sweetened condensed milk to desired consistency, and cane sugar to taste.
Blend it all together one more time with a handful of ice cubes and voilà.
Swiss because the sweetened condensed milk and zest are from what's called a Brazilian Lemonade, but what the Brazilians call a Limonada Suisse, and Lion because the Strawberries Cane Sugar and Torch come from Detroit (lions) 75 Kitchen Lemonade.
