- Its kind of a choose which rules you want. You have to agree with the hivemind but you can choose which one. At least this exposes the communities to each other to mix ideas. While i hate .ml they do have some stuff that is good.
- different instances have different rules,there are instances that are more homophobic and others that are more lgbtq. instances can choose to federate or not with other instances, however those instances that most disagree with will still exist.
