"On Tuesday, at a stunning joint press conference alongside Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Trump announced the US will be taking over and running Gaza, potentially for the foreseeable future.
“Everybody I've spoken to loves the idea of the United States owning that piece of land, developing and creating thousands of jobs with something that will be magnificent,” Trump told reporters after a three-hour meeting with Netanyahu. "
It makes me angry that you used the word 'a lot', because this means you're seeing multiple instances of something so stupid I struggle to believe even a single person has ever had that thought.
They will tell you that this result was inevitable and to look at the positive side of things (what ever this may be). Which is easy to do or say since they are not Palestinians
Well, those who were payed to got their pay and don't care, and those dumb enough to fall for their logic and regurgitate it will just pick up on whatever The Next Big argument being regurgitated is. Something something this only server to support my argument something something was needed to show how flawed the system was something something.
Those people are too busy foaming at the mouth over the gulf of America. They never gave a shit about Palestine, it was nothing more than a convenience for them.
Well in some twisted way. They might get a free out of open air jail card and start a new life somewhere else. So it was beneficiary for them after all.
Harris got more votes than Biden did in the majority of the key swing states. Stop directing your anger at people other than those who actually voted for him.
Cool, I'm sure the rest of America will still get no apology from the people that kept telling us Kamala/Biden were jUsTaSbAD. So he's going to be incredibly worse not just on Israel, but far worse in every other fucking single way.
I'm certain this was exactly Kamala's plan. She never said the magic combination of words that means she believes exactly what I want her to believe, so obviously this would have happened either way.
She said she would do nothing different. The genocide was obvious for months prior. Why would you continue defending this at this point? It’s been gross for over a year. Dems lost for many reasons, and on this issue it is fucking inexcusable.
Harris's plan: Gazans continue to suffer with constant bombardments and crumbling infrastructure. The US offers minor humanitarian aid and pays lip service to their plight.
Trump's plan: Extermination of all Gazans in a massive US-backed and Israeli-executed ethnic cleansing campaign in order to turn Gaza into a vacation spot for rich Israelis. Possible location for the next Trump hotel and casino.
And now it causes more infighting and alienation to fester till next election too.
Lose-lose situation all around. It happened and we're right to be angry at those simply too naive. But it's also incomprehensible amount of money at play here doing its work. They won, they played the game we were too "righteous" to engage in.
The best con ever pulled was convince Democratic wings globally to be the "better one" while Nazis get to just bursh it off.
It is GG. I hope I get to live to see this get turned around, but honestly? Highly doubt it. We might see Nazis fuck up enough that they lose one cycle to then turn it around and have another Trump just mop the floor and do a great reset 3.0.
To be clear, Trump is now openly promoting genocide. I considered this administration fascist up until now. Now, they full ass Nazis. Any American not going to the protests tomorrow and participating in a full on general strike is complicit with Nazis.
I agree with your first two sentences, but not with your last one. You have to take into consideration that many people are in different situations. If you have trouble making ends meet, if you need your job to feed your family, you might not be inclined to risk your job to protest. What I'm trying to say is, not all people that don't protest are Nazis. Stating they are creates another layer of polarization that isn't bringing us anywhere near a solution. And yes: Us. even though I'm not a US citizen, it unfortunately affects the world.
Not likely after his "Riviera of the Middle East" and knowledge that his son-in-law Jared Kushner has ties will wealthy people in that area. They're probably salivating to scoop up that land for pennies on the dollars (or free) and have all their wealthy backers develop the land as a resort for the wealthy.
The really neat trick is the land is way too risky as it stands for any developer to take on even putting aside the horrific context. There's just too much dangerous stuff lying around.
So he spends US government resources to get things nice and ready by spending taxpayer money and then hands it over to his family to make their money when the area is suitably ready.
Just like the sovereign fund where he wants to toss a bunch of tax money into a fund and then use that fund to give to Elon so Elon can use taxpayer money to buy TikTok, while the US government makes TikTok worth less through screwing with their business.
I want to see the convoluted logic the mental gymnasts who pushed forth against voting for Biden so Trump wouldn't get elected on issues like Palestine come up with. It's an art.
They starting pushing forth against voting for him long before Kamala became the candidate, and they still call him genocide Biden. Kamala and Biden where on the same ticket regarding criticism of their handling in their Middle East.
Is this it, though? Just a one off quip that's almost irrelevant and a few downvotes? Now I'm disappointed.
