This is also unironically a strategy cops use when they are in a crowd being filmed and potentially unlawfully or excessively harming people.
Its the evolved version of accidentally blocking your body cam / forgetting to turn it on / oops the footage got deleted and its no ones fault somehow.
I always hear people complaining about “those kids” but I just don’t see it at the gym I go to, other than like the occasional mirror selfie. Maybe it’s just because the gym I go to isn’t the type to attract influencers?
But also, recording yourself lift is a great way to see things that you’re doing wrong that you wouldn’t otherwise notice
Bruh, I've recently got a rowing machine and was sad at how I couldn't see if I'm doing the moving and postures right. Turns out I can and very easily at that. Thanks for the tip.
Mirror selfies seem like a very reasonable thing to do at a gym, particularly if you are looking for progress pics, taking the same picture in the same location while it's still in your mind.
I've definitely seen influencers recording themselves when I went to an LA fitness for a while. They were usually pretty respectful of the space and chose places out of the way if they could.
"Omg look at this dude harassing me like all I want to do is work out but this guy was looking down as he walked by me look I got it all on this video of me exercising in very revealing camera angles I'm live streaming to these strangers online!"
Tbf, I wouldn’t tell someone they dropped their keys during a workout, Odds are they saw it and don’t want to disrupt a set so they let them sit there until later.
Please tell me, if I dropped my keys. I hate the hassle of being locked out. If just a few words can prevent having to break into my own home, then please say them.
