As an outsider viewing in from all, I have to say these stickers are so fucking cool! Was there some kind of a contest to have kids draw pictures and finalists were picked? Does this always happen in Michigan?
Yup, there was a contest. I think it was our first time, and I honestly think that it's had a degree of impact on voter turnout, specifically because people fucking love the werewolf one.
They were out of it when I dropped my ballot off, and I'm actively a little sad about not getting that sticker.
I guess first order of business is to get rid of the electoral college so other states matter, but second order of business is every state gets badass stickers.
Georgia had four different stickers available during early voting on Friday, which was nice because I could pick something other than the asinine, propagandistic "I secured my vote" one that they've been shoving down our throats the last few elections.
I wish I had thought to collect them. My daughter grabbed a full set, but I fear she probably used them.
Nah, but I got there early and it was full of elderly folks who didn't even glance at the stickers. The guy was nice enough to allow me to take what I wanted! (:
