So he does read your tweets. This still does nothing. This is just the lamest form of activism, and as recent evidence shows, it clearly doesn't work.

Didn't you know? Everything liberals do is activism. Just like every black character is a political statement, or how every vegan is an extremist.
I say that in jest, but some people legit can't fathom their "out" group being normal, every day people. The scary truth is that for some folks, daring to exist at all is seen as a form of protest.
Liberals are the people we hate. Republican flavor especially.

Context matters here. I think the joke is that this gender-swapped picture would really piss off Elon Musk in particular because he's so openly and proudly transphobic.
That's like saying it's okay to call someone a fag if they are a homophobe.
It absolutely is not morally sound, but it clearly feels right to many. We regularly justify these attacks because such people seem to deserve any and all suffering for their values and misdeeds.
That has nothing to do with why we avoid such slurs; they harm people OTHER than whomever you are trying to harm.

I think intentionally being misgendered pisses most people off.
Its not a misgendering. It is a mocking of his reverence to trump and cozying up ahead of the swear-in ceremony. If it pisses him off.. it's his own transphobia to blame. We're just encouraging him if he's an egg.
If the point isn't to misgender him, then call him first gentleman. First lady is misgendering him. It feels justified and extra effective because of his transphobia. But it isn't about misogyny.
Musk has previously described himself as an "alpha male", it will annoy him for sure.
Maybe, although I personally don't get that at all. Then again I'm not exactly a misogynist and do enjoy drag... Maybe I do want to see Elon in legit* drag after all. And I do mean something legit--not the diarrhea of frat bro tropes he'd inevitably lean into.
