This has been me most of this week. Just buried in as much distraction as possible.
That’s exactly what he should do. He can’t control the world ending, but he can control his own happiness
Of course you would turn to the comics. They are right there and it might be your last chance to read them.
Off the news, out of facebook and reduced Politics subs by half
- I blocked a ton of words and subs and I refuse to engage in this shit. Just LMK when we’re killing nazis.
  
  Hells yeah, trying not to programmatically block things so I don't miss something that's actually important, but you can't doom scroll this @#$%
- I am trying the same thing, but politics somehow keeps coming up even amongst my 'apolitical' friends.
  
  Is this sarcastic where the 'apolitical' friends is not really apolitical but just labeled themselves as apolitical?

Imagine if you could vote to stop the meteor but choose to stay home and read the comics instead.

  That's understandable and not implied by the comic, so you're not targeted by my joke.

  Also, "don't look up."
- Imagine actively voting for the meteor to hit earth faster!
  
  I hear the meteor has a lot of palladium, which should help our economy.
- The meteor and global warming are both the same, still trying to kill people. I will vote third-party for world peace instead.
  
  A vote for a third party under FPTP is mathematically a vote against the party closest to your values. If you live in the US, that means you vote(d) against the Democratic Party and for the Republican Party.
  
  I too long for a third party, but 2024 is not the time.
Before last Tuesday, I would have found this comic depressing.

Tired of always the same doomsday news. Yees you got repeatedly a conviccted felon with ties to russia as president. Yees, Israel genocides and Russia does next stupid thing in Ukraine. Children are dying of hunger and celebrity X broke up with Y. Comics are fun.
