Because we are trapped in a linear experience of time and can only perceive the part of him intersecting the present slice.

What 10 day of No Nut November does to a guy.
6 0 ReplyThe movie has a lot of flaws, but I think they nailed this entire sequence perfectly. It's so eerie.
27 0 ReplyI actually kind of like the whole movie but according to several people on the internet that’s a bad thing and I should feel ashamed
19 1 ReplyI think people like to gang up on it because Alan Moore criticized it, but let's be real, he would never have been happy with a Hollywood movie anyway, and I think it could have been a lot worse.
13 1 ReplyI do too. It's a fun movie.
I don't need a movie to be 100.99999% accurate to the source material. That's not realistic.11 1 Reply
DC just released the first half of an animated version which is a lot closer to the comic. It's still not perfect, but I think it's better than the film.

7 1 ReplyPosting one of the most well known graphic novels ever as "out of context" doesnt really work imo.
2 19 ReplyExcept how? The community isn’t “panels from comics you’ve never seen taken out of context”
22 0 ReplyI've never seen this before and I don't know what it's from
7 0 ReplyWatchmen, generally considered one of the greatest comics of all time, certainly in the superhero genre. The movie, not so much.
The more you know about comic book history, the better it is too.

It's funny how the perception of ubiquity works. I've never seen this nor anything about watchman. I just have a vague memory that it exists.
