Memmy for iOS is inspired by Christian and his work on Apollo.
98 2 ReplyAnd the developer is going an awesome job. It’s early but it’s really promising.
62 0 ReplyAnd the AppStore just got updated with new icons and less bugs!

Memmy is easily a 9/10 already, just missing some features.
Been absolutely loving the Dracula (purple) theme!!
35 0 ReplyI loath the font size of the subjects of posts in my feed. It's the opposite of sleek. Huge and bold regardless of anything I toggle. I can't find a way to change it and it puts me off. Al my font sizes are set to small, and the feed is compact, so seeing it huge and bold is just off putting.
I've kept with WefWef/Voyager for that reason alone. I come back to see if try here are more options, but it hasn't happened.
Otherwise it seems great.
5 0 ReplyOnce I get the equivalent to the new comment highlightinator (displays how comments are new since the last time you click the post) and customizable swipe gestures I will be very happy

Pretty sure that’d be Voyager (formerly wefwef). It’s already been adopted by lemmy.world under m.lemmy.world
9 5 ReplyNo, Voyager/wefwef and Memmy are separate things

Just got it! It’s great!
1 0 ReplyUntil Memmy can do a compact mode like Apollo it’s useless to me. That’s why I’m on wefwef/Voyager.EDIT: I was wrong, and looking in the wrong place for the setting.
3 3 ReplyMemmy has compact mode as of todays update I believe
19 0 ReplyNo shade just curious, why do you like compact mode? Seems tedious to have to tap on each image for me.

Vger.app was wefwef and is very much like Apollo
17 0 Reply10 0 ReplyI fact it’s very much like Apollo, and the whole reason I’ve come to lemmy full time the day Apollo went dark.
I’ve even self hosted it.

I'm pretty sure the developer of RIFisfun is making an app for Tildes. Or, at least, that's what I've been hearing. It's why I have a Tildes account.
1 0 ReplyReddit is fun is fun

I wanna see RIF for lemmy but I'm actually pretty satisfied with liftoff so far. It needs some more optimization but when it's working quickly it's a pleasure to use.
11 1 ReplySame feeling here. So far Liftoff seems like the closest experience to RiF

Voyager 😤
vger.app or m.lemmy.world, it's an open-source app that anyone can install as a web app from the two URLs, or self-host one's own.
8 0 ReplyThe source app is called WefWef FYI. This “voyager” is a fork.
Edit: false. wefwef renamed app to Voyager
4 1 ReplyThe wefwef dev disagrees. https://lemmy.world/c/wefwef
4 0 ReplyThe dev behind wefwef has essentially renamed it. There are no functional differences between the two and they’re both privy to identical updates.

Boost for Lemmy coming soon
6 0 ReplyLiftoff has been a joy to use.
6 0 ReplyMemmy and Voyager are both amazing and reminiscent of Apollo. I pretty much switch back and forth between the two because I can’t decide which one I like better. Voyager, being a PWA, has this annoying stutter sometimes with scrolling on iOS. But other than that I think Christian should be proud that his app inspired so many others to model after.
5 0 ReplyOmelette du fromage.
4 0 ReplyRIF for kbin
4 0 ReplyYea but didn’t he say he’s not interested at this time? I think he just wants to chill for a bit and made enough off Apollo he can do so
5 1 ReplyI by no means mean to put any pressure on Christian or anything. Just hopeful! He should take all the time he needs.

Sync for Lemmy would be sexier
3 0 ReplyBoost for lemmy?
3 0 Reply"Now for Lemmy" I don't think it was released on iOS, but it was just magical... It's the only reason I ever used reddit to begin with.
2 0 ReplySlide for Lemmy. Idk i just for really used to Slide.

1 0 ReplyI just want one of them to support kbin accounts :(
1 1 ReplyI gave up on that. Signed up to an instance that federates with kbin and use memmy
3 0 ReplyI’m typing this from a preview release of Artemis, a Kbin-compatible iOS app in development. It’s really good and going to get better over time!
2 0 ReplyLooks down at android phone.
