Imagery is everything in the US. I know people who claim to hate socialism despite living off of a monthly Social Security check. They claim to hate communism but can't tell me what they think the word means, same goes for capitalism. The folks that tell you they don't trust the media will repeat word for word what the guy on television/podcast told them without bothering to verify it's accuracy.
