The Republican Georgia congresswoman has put pressure on Johnson in recent weeks, although many lawmakers in her own party have dismissed her efforts to vacate the speaker's chair.
It is unclear which House members booed Greene's motion on Wednesday, although Georgia congresswoman shot back at the heckling, saying, "This is the uniparty, for the American people watching."

She’s in the “any press is good press” club alright. She’s running unchallenged again in November. The Democratic primary for her opposition is on May 21st.
So here we are. 8 years roughly is the amount of time the degens in the Republican party tire of MAGA nonsense.
Children got to grow up eventually, so at at least they're making some progress I suppose.
degens in the Republican party tire of MAGA nonsense.
Lol, good one, the republicans are still behind MAGA shit, just not this one particular turd's stink. Come find me when they turn over the shit stain in chief and stop simping for him.
Make no mistake: Republicans are doing this because they can see their polls are waning. They haven't learned shit. They are still moving forward with Project 2025 and are taking steps to make sure that Trump "wins" in November.
Their majority is waning and they know if they lose more members, the Democrats will have a majority going into the election.
If they had balls, they'd out the speaker. But they know that in order to keep their power, they need to be pragmatic.
Yeah just the fact that they're still allowing a traitor and giant piece of shit to run for president again tells you everything you need to know about republicans.
Greene ran for re-election after winning a legal challenge to her eligibility based on her alleged involvement in organizing and promoting the 2021 United States Capitol attack, based on the Fourteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution, which bars people who have engaged in insurrection from serving in Congress. While Greene won by a comfortable margin, this was the worst showing ever by a Republican in the 14th district, and the best performance of a Democrat in this district, being the first time since the district was created that the Democrat received more than 28% of the vote.
If you're asking about the primary, there aren't any numbers on the wiki page (and I'm too lazy to go looking for any more), but it lists the following people who lost the republican primary to her:
Eric Cunningham, sales executive
James Haygood, farmer
Charles Lutin, physician and veteran
Jennifer Strahan, CEO of J. Osley & Co.
Seth Synstelien, educator
At least a couple of those sound a bit more impressive than part-time crossfit coach and full time conspiracy theorist whackadoo. I'm guessing the first time she got in was riding the MAGA reality denial wave, and the second time was mostly because of name recognition. Maybe she'll run out of steam for this election, considering the reception by her own party in relation to the above OP.
Incredible thank you. She is a complete goober but her brand is huge now so maybe she's in for life like George Harrison and the guy who's dying on TV and looks like a turtle

It is unclear which House members booed Greene's motion on Wednesday, although Georgia congresswoman shot back at the heckling, saying, "This is the uniparty, for the American people watching."
Greene first introduced the motion to remove Johnson in March after the speaker worked across the aisle to pass a $1.2 trillion federal spending package that avoided a partial government shutdown.
She has also criticized the speaker for gaining bipartisan support to pass the foreign aid spending packages last month, including a measure that authorizes an additional $60.8 billion in assistance to Ukraine for its defense against Russia.
On Wednesday, Greene called her motion to vacate the speaker's chair as privileged, which forces House leadership to act on the measure within two legislative days.
Punchbowl News founder Jake Sherman reported that most of the chamber did not take Greene's effort "seriously" and that over half of lawmakers were engaged in loud conversation while the congresswoman attempted to speak.
