IRVINE, Calif. — With the release of Amazon’s TV adaptation of the Fallout game series being a huge success, Obsidian Entertainment has officially announced their…
Oh are we still shitting on the show even though it turned out amazing?
I remember seeing a video on YouTube that said "this is why the fallout show will suck!" Like a month before release. People just like to hate. They're already hating on season 2
How about greed and shitty business practices? Or the garbage they called Starfield spelling out the doom of Elder Scrolls? How about their acquisition of Doom, and subsequent re-release of the games in a worse state than they were in 1993? Or any of the Id Software IPs for that matter, they all have Bethesda's greasy fingerprints all over them now. Like nagging you to log in every time you open the game, which does absolutely nothing for you, but probably enables them to sell your data. Or the mandatory "news" sections of their main menus that only serve as an ad page.
There's no shortage of reasons to hate modern day Bethesda these days if you just like....open your eyes?
There are multiple Bethesdas and they all are owned under Microsoft (and before that Zenimax Media). I can't really hate the development studio for shit that's dictated by the parent company. Zenimax and Microsoft both fucking suck in that regard.
But Todd Howard is also a sleazy salesperson more than a developer and has said plenty of stupid shit that deserves hate. Not least of which is how adamantly against continuity he has been publicly, going so far as to insult players who actually care about the consistency of the plots. He's a fucking tool.
Haters gonna hate. The fact is that you were gonna hate it all before it was ever even shown, so nobody cares what you think, you're not the target audience.
Btw Bethesda Doom is so good, and shitty business practices? Lol get off your moral high horse, talking about shitty practices, typed on a phone made with slave labor. You don't want to be involved in fucky deals, move out to the woods
The season is done, it was amazing. Would a bad second season make the first any less good? Did godfather 3 being disliked make the first two any worse?
I agree for the most part but they could also retroactively make the first season worse by erasing plot points shown it it with new things added in coming seasons. They did it with Futurama, negating one of the most memorable moments of the original run of the show in a followup season.
I don't think it will, but I just wanted to point out it is possible.
