Palworld is a new release on Steam in Early Access from Pocketpair. A fusion of Pokémon with monster catching, farming, building and much more. It is Steam Deck Playable and does work on Desktop Linux too.
That pal in the thumbnail looks like someone on the Palworld team took a fan edit of an Egyptian themed lucario and specifically designed that pal to look just like it.
I realize this is the linux gaming sub, but it's worth mentioning that this is on Gamepass too (I still use Gamepass on Xbox even though I don't game on Windows anymore).
Can confirm, ran fine on my desktop machine without needing to tinker (caveat: I changed the "compatibility layer" to use proton-ge before attempting to launch it of my own initiative).
I would assume their point was that a lot of games seem to be driven by self propelling hype
I'm not saying it's not necessarily a bad game, I just think that he means everyone will have forgotten about it by then and everyone will jump on the next hype train
I guess there's nothing really being added to the conversation but I do see it in my friend groups where people hype up a game, buy it for a week then it's never mentioned again, the last one being lethal company
