22 1 ReplyYeah, nearly every young person I know here in norway has at least tried it... I do not believe the statistics are this low lol
13 0 ReplyThe statistics in this post are for pretty much all age groups and if they've tried it in the last 12 months.

Old data and most people probably won't answer truthfully for an illegal substance use question
34 3 ReplyIn most of Europe, cannabis is illigal but decriminalised
4 6 ReplyEeeh any sources on that? Besides Netherlands, Portugal and Switzerland where is it decriminalised?
7 0 ReplyI think this is false, most countries have not decriminalized. It's a very slow and frustrating process here.
2 0 ReplyMaybe now, but a decade ago? A lot has changed in 10 years.

Here’s a link to 2019 legal countries: https://newfrontierdata.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/01/1-18-2019-Cannabit-infographic.jpg
And another for 2020 consumption: https://prohibitionpartners.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/NUMBER-OF-ADULT-CANNABIS-CONSUMERS-PER-COUNTRY-2020-1.png
23 0 ReplyWow, good on Georgia for legalizing it recreationally that far back. I did not know that.
11 1 ReplySo either Portugal is lying or decriminalisation and education do actually work

Some of that data is 10 years old
15 0 ReplyIt's ironic that Netherlands is only the fifth highest despite being the only European nation to legalize recreational cannabis.
10 1 ReplyRecreational cannabis is not legal in the Netherlands as far as I know. It's just unenforced under certain conditions.
4 1 ReplyPersonal possession of up to 5 grams and/or 5 cannabis plants is decriminalized for the general public, but it is still illegal. Sale by licensed shops is legal.
Belgium is similar, up to 3g decriminalized, but no sale is allowed, unlike the Netherlands, so Belgians legally have to go to the Netherlands to get weed. Great for the local Belgian economy 😂

And Portugal is sitting pretty low at 5.1% even though it is depenalized here, while France is #1 with super strict laws and a lot of money going into their enforcement...

C’mon, guys. Get on the bus.
8 4 ReplyDouble it
8 5 ReplyThat is complete bullshit. The Nordic countries were around 10% even decades ago when sentiments were even more draconian.
2 0 ReplyDo you have more recent sources?
