Nonfunctional, huh? I was able to get liquid to go from a cup, through a paper straw and into my mouth just a couple of days ago. Of course, this is the UK. Have paper straws in the U.S. lost the power to facilitate liquid transportation?
Yeah, I don't really like how mushy paper straws can get either. You know what I dislike even more? The fact that I have enough microplastics in my body to make an entire box full of plastic straws.
When I was much younger I bit down on a metal straw and it broke off the inner portion of my two front teeth. They should be banned!!!
But for real, all good until you forget it's metal and bite down on it. I've since outgrown my aversion and we have metal straws in the house now (some with a silicone sheath at the tip to prevent mishaps like mine)
It is a little important to fix & move on, since these paper straws...don't work too well for too long...and their binding glue is a carcinogen! It's a good thing, like you, I tend to go without straws. 🙂
No use, no waste. Also frequent use of straws leads to perioral wrinkles & IIRC it's not great for your teeth.
President Donald Trump issued an executive order Monday declaring that it is “the policy of the United States to end the use of paper straws.”
Dictator on day one... He does not understand it care about representative governance. All of the high minded enlightenment ideals our nation was founded on are dead.
