Former GOP House Speaker Newt Gingrich has a warning for President-elect Donald Trump, reported The Guardian: an excessively restrictionist immigration regime would have prevented a key person who helped him back into power from coming to America.Gingrich is a committed Republican who has been consi...
Gingrich is a committed Republican who has been consistently supportive of Trump for years — but he has recently been warning Trump not to move forward with his ideas for mass deportation, telling him only his most hardcore fans want such a draconian policy and that the American people will turn on him quickly if the news is full of children and hardworking families being rounded up.
Every engaged trump supporter I know is perfectly fine with mass deportation because they are too daft to understand it WILL effect them.
It isnt fringe shit and their attempt to split the gop and do damage control is laughable. Y'all created this bull, let it out of the gate, now it's time to ride it or get gored dipshits.
Warning shot implies that Gingrich has the ability to do actual damage to Trump if he wanted to, but come on... we all know the only thing this philandering, hypocritical, rage-baiting has-been could ever do damage to is an all-you-can-eat buffet.
In the Post-World War II era, the Republicans became adept at the process of uniting its conservatives, moderates, and liberals while even satisfying the rightwing fringe. The Republicans became a “big tent.”
I believe in the party of the “big tent.” If you’re large and energetic enough, you better wake up each morning and think about conflict management, not conflict resolution. -Newt
Newt is the old version of being a Republican nasty. Call it like 3.1 edition. And yes, he updated the dirty tricks and nastiness of the bygone versions.
The qons have iterated through several versions of Republican nastiness and are way beyond that now and most of them probably consider Newt a relic.
The idea that any meda outlet will even mention that children and hardworking families are being rounded up is adorable. The billionaires bought all the networks and newspapers for a reason - so that there'd be no way to embarrass the Great and Powerful Trump.
I really hope I'm right, but I really don't think Trump actually intends on doing this. I honestly think it's more "drain the swamp" bullshit that he says to get people to vote for him and the sycophants that espoused all the shit they'd do in office were performing for a chance to be hired. He has no reason to go through with it since he can't be reelected. If he's going the dictator route then he won't need to be reelected anyway he'll just persist.
