  • They tried to give him a tv show. The premise was having people from opposite backgrounds swap lives. I watched one episode. It was shit.

He had one good (gimmicky) idea. The findings were shaky. It was still entertaining. Cancer is a son of a bitch.

  • Daily marijuana use outpaces daily drinking in the US, a new study says
  • Recently quit drinking. Went to hit my disposable (only because I only got high once every few months or I'd have bought a refillable vape) and it was dead. Went to a shop yesterday to replace it. Found the gummies that we'd bought last year while doing spring cleaning.

We have a lot planned for today (Saturday) including going into farmland where you can pay to pick fresh fruit plus running some errands. But I'm getting high tonight.

  • Stop cancel culture!
  • I dunno. I've watched vids in this genre when the lady performer is someone I'm already interested in seeing. They don't make me feel insecure or engender racism in me. But then again, I was already an adult when broadband internet became a thing. And true broadband, fast enough to allow instant streaming, was still years after that. I can see your point for kids growing up with it though.

  • Stop cancel culture!
  • Hahaha! I didn't recognize the name (though I thought it seemed a bit familiar). I fell for the joke. But that's probably only because I don't like blonds. If the name had been a brunette, I'd have been more likely to get it without doing a search.

  • Political consultant indicted for deep-faked Biden ad telling people not to vote
  • Yeah, but there's a difference between white-hat hacking (where you find an exploit, test it once to confirm its validity, and report it without abusing it) and actually modifying a bunch of records (the equivalent of what this would be). White-hatting tries to be minimally-destructive while proving the vulnerability.

  • If Trump wins, what would hold him back?
  • I've long accepted that if / when we reach the point of a fascist state rounding people up, my name will be on those lists due to my internet history. I'm just counting on the fascists needing a bit of time to get organized as I flee. Hope I'm right.

  • Florida won't light bridges in rainbow colors for Pride Month this year
  • Wtf, do I have to spell it out? It’s just like how teachers can go to jail for mentioning their same-sex partner. If that doesn’t spell freedumb, I don’t know how else to explain it to you. And tracking pregnancies? How could you get any freer?!

USA Lemmies: Where do you live?

I comment a lot on stories having to do with state governments and legislation or regions of the country. It got me wondering how many people I'm accidentally disparaging when I don't mean everyone in said state or region is terrible. So… Please be as specific or obtuse as your privacy filter requires. I'll start:

I'm in the Bay Area, specifically Oakland. Despite Bay Area hate from some posters, I think it's great. How about you?
