I was at a museum with my son when I saw the breaking news on my phone. I kept seeing people high five each other, and hugging each other, saying things like "He's guilty!" or "They did it!".
Yeah, it's nice to know he's officially a felon, but I get the feeling he won't have any problems. He's too well connected at this point, despite being an absolute dumpster fire of a human being that habitually shits on everyone that does anything for him whenever it favors him in the slightest.
I'm worried that even the most progressive judges in the country would not want to be the one that "messed up" and altered the outcome of a presidential election. It could possibly result in jan6.v2. It most certainly will result in death threats, and as seen with pelosi, even assassination attempts.
As such I'm expecting light sentencing so... The judge can say "justice was delivered" and the gop can say "charges shmarges, old news, go vote".
For those lacking critical thinking:
I am not suggesting I want trump to run, or win.
I am not saying trump is innocent or deserving of light sentencing.
I am not saying a federal judge gets to choose the easy route. They wear a big hat and have big responsibilities.
I am only pointing out imperfect actions of imperfect, fallible human actors.
Donald Trump is a Toonforce user. He can do anything as long as it's funny. (According to the universe's sadistic sense of humour). It wasn't funny for Trump to keep getting away with crimes anymore because we've already seen that too many times. But it would be funny if a convicted felon became president, so that's what will happen.
I happened to go to my local news site and saw that the jury had come back. I didn't want to listen to the reporters pontificate so I started playing a game, but I texted my friend to let her know. She was watching and texted me when it was four 'guiltys'
