Help setting up a DualSense5 on Dolphin Emulator (Windows)
Hello!
I'm buildiing an emulated Wii console thing (and I'm calling it the Uriine, because I'm a 12 year old at heart apparently)
I've got a mayflash dolphin bar, and it's working beautifully. I only have 1 working controller though, and would like to set up a DS5 as a secondary controller.
I have it mapped and 90% working, but it could be much better, and I'm hoping for some help getting this the rest of the way.
The issues I'm facing:
-
I've got the pointer mapped to the right stick, but I would like to use the gyro for this. Gyro movement doesn't seem to be registered as a mappable axis though.
-
Rumble motors aren't detected
-
The DS5 has an onboard speaker like the wiimote, any way to use it as such?
I feel like most of this could be fixed with a good driver for the controller, but I can't find one.
Any help would be appreciated. Bonus points if you can tell me why I have to have the controller on before launching a title for it to be detected (any controller, not just the DS5)

(Android) MIDI playback under Winlator?
I am playing Iter Vehemens ad Necem, in short IVAN, on Winlator.
Is a ~25 years old rogue-like game that uses MIDI as background music. Sound efffects are instead wave files. MIDI files are just a series of notes a sound card plays back with its internal musical instruments, much like a digital music sheet. Modern audio cards no longer have true support for this now ancient audio format (still used to this day actually, but only on specific music production devices), and desktop systems can run software based MIDI emulators to still hear this sounds (modern Windows has one preinstalled that is invoked automatically when MIDI is played)
Sound effects work just fine, but there is no background music when running this game as it detects no MIDI devices. I need a way to get a software MIDI emulator running under Winlator, maybe even the default modern Windows one.

I created a toggle for the power LED on MinUI for the RG35XXSP
github.com GitHub - Skyline969/MinUI_RG35XXSP_LED_Toggle: A toggle for the power LED on MinUI for the RG35XXSPA toggle for the power LED on MinUI for the RG35XXSP - Skyline969/MinUI_RG35XXSP_LED_Toggle
cross-posted from: https://lemmy.ca/post/23871363
> I absolutely love MinUI on my RG35XXSP, but I hated that it turned the power LED off. Initially I tried to fiddle with just disabling the part of the MinUI boot that turned off the LED, but then I realized that putting the console to sleep and turning it back on disabled the LED anyway. That was baked into the OS, and I didn’t want to recompile the whole thing just to disable that. > > Enter this tool. It contains a script that gets set to run during boot to turn on the power LED and keep it on. It can also undo all of its changes by running the tool again. Since it does modify system files, I also figured out how to recover from any potential issues. I was unable to cause any significant issues during my testing, but the recovery plan is there nonetheless. Full documentation is available on the repo. > > Let there be light!

Netplay on 3DS Android emulation?
Hello,
I have noticed that Lime3DS and Citra have netplay for their emulators, however, Android doesn't have a network setting to configure networking.
I do not have another device to test 2 Android phones. I noticed a room is required to use netwoking and is avalible on PC to configure rather than on Android.
Am I missing something? Could I have netplay on 2 Android phones or netplay on a real 3DS?

How can I migrate saves/states from Delta to Lemuroid/Retroarch (maybe) of Gameboy games?
I have been using Delta on iOS for my Gameboy gaming, and I have now moved to Android and am now trying to use Lemuroid. It doesn't accept Delta's .sav files, and instead uses .gb.slot1/.gb.slot2/etc. files. Is there a way to convert between them?

Is there a way to transfer save states on delta?
Hello all
I recently got a new iPhone and managed to transfer my files including my save states. However I was still using my old phone as I was waiting a case to arrive. On my old phone I have a save state I would like to move the newer save state. I managed to move the files and put them in the correct folder however delta refuses to detect them in the app any way to fix this?

Delta emulator Android equivalent
The Delta emulator is absolutely superb, particularly given that it’s free with no ads, a rarity on iOS. I’ve barely stopped playing DS games since I downloaded it. My other half is dying to have a go on her phone, but I’ve not had an Android device for ages. Has anyone got any recommendations for equivalent Android DS emulators that are free/ad-free, simple to use, and hopefully as polished as Delta that I can send her way?

Why use Ares?
I saw this Project on Flathub and tried it. It works well enough and I like that its ready to go out of the box without needing to install cores like Retroarch. The UI is different from Retroarch, but is there any big advantage? Does anybody use it? And why?

Lemuroid doesn't show any MAME roms on android. I tried extracting the files, downloading from multiple sources, refreshing and making dedicated folders, nothing. Same issue is present for other console roms like NeoGeo.
