Sigh, Yuki. That prob would've been best finish for AT. Both Top 10. And now he's down in 16.
24 0 ReplyThat would've been driver of the day for me too. From 19th to 8th in the first half of the race. He needs to make fewer mistakes like these. Then again, I guess he hasn't had much experience with a car that can overtake others.
6 0 ReplyAdmittedly, he did get lucky with the red flag. Free pit stop from old hards to new.

Ferrari comms: Stay out. We don't see anything big.
end plate breaks off immediately
22 0 ReplyActual Kings of comedy in ferrari
10 0 ReplyTo be fair, Leclerc has been having more speed without the endplate!
1 0 ReplyYe, the should have removed the front wing entirely for weight gains 😃

Did we just witness the return of question, question?
21 0 ReplyI am not sure, do you think so, question?
10 0 ReplySeems like it. If they got a chance to win, they want to blame the drivers for potential strategy mistakes.

YUKI NOOOOOOOO GOD DAMNIT
15 0 ReplyHe needs to make fewer mistakes. He had such an incredible recovery until then, probably would've been right behind Ricciardo. I guess he doesn't really have enough experience overtaking other cars given how crap his car has been until this race.
4 0 ReplyHe should have been more patient I suppose. But thats easy for me to say, im crap at sim racing

I'm really surprised at how well the mediums are holding on.
14 0 ReplyLap 69 and HAM is increasing the gap to the hard LEC behind him.
5 0 ReplyFerrari was managing heat as I understand. A lot of lift and coast for them. But the mediums were great still, ham got FL at the end 😲

Checo is losing me. I don’t know if I can keep doing this. Get your shit together man
13 0 ReplyI think today was the day he blew it with Red Bull.
And Danny Ric's performance just makes it even worse for him. At this point I would be amazed if Checo is in a Red Bull (F1 car) next year
RB dont need someone to win races, they just need someone who can qualify well, not make stupid mistakes and finish 2nd-3rd behind Max
18 0 ReplyYep. I think that’s right on point. And if Danny podiums today, I think he’s in the second RB seat next year.

Prediction, Danny Ric on podium after ferrari puts leclerc on used softs
11 0 ReplyStop it, you're getting my hopes up!
6 0 ReplyNah, he'll think he's back in 2018 and crash into Verstappen. Or at least that seems more likely than Ric finishing in the top 3. A top 10 finish should be doable though.

Max pit under SC? he has to, 21 second lead, cannot waste that
edit: yup
This worked out absolutely perfect for Max, especially as he was the only one with two new sets of hards
9 0 ReplyIf this gives us a second standing start he might be less than thrilled. But, he seems to have the starts well in hand, too.
2 0 ReplyWith the red flag, that's no longer true. Free repairs for Lec and less optimal position on that long straight with a danger of crashes.
Though I'm worried for Ricciardo losing position with the restart.

9 0 ReplyGOD FUCKING DAMN AGHHHH
anyways, nice move Lando it was a juice one
8 0 ReplyOh Yuki, patience! You would've had him sooner or later.
8 0 ReplyI think that is his main problem now. He hasn't really had a car that can keep up and overtake with cars until now and he clearly lacks experience in overtaking.
4 0 Reply
Its really hard to even get excited about the prospect of a Ferrari front row, because you just know they will somehow contrive to get in each others way, let Max through on lap one, and then make a pigs ear of their strategy and finish 5th and 6th
Well that was as predictable as the sun rising and setting.
I completely failed to predict Checo's stupidity though
8 0 ReplyI feel like Max pitted early just so he could pass some people
8 0 ReplyHe's about to overtake Sainz, again. Already.
2 0 Reply
If he could have proven he could keep a cool head he might have strengthened his case but this is just dumb. He just needed to cede second, overtaken in the next laps and cruised to second for a crowd that would have adored him.
So damn unnecessary and dumb. Apart from his contract he still needs to keep second place.

4 0 ReplyAll the cars running mediums mean that we have more pitstops in this race. This may get interesting.
4 0 ReplyVerstappen was complaining about his mediums even before lap 20. So those guys with used medium tyres now might be forced to stop soon after the restart, losing lots of positions due to tight traffic.

3 wide is always difficult and not really a specific fault here, but reflects overall poorly on Perez yet again.
4 0 ReplyIt reflects insecurity and overeagerness. His car is faster in the race and even if he couldn't overtake a podium is nice result for him. Both PR wise and in the standings.
It would prove his team boss isn't delusional when he argues that Checo's seat is safe.

Danny Ric needs to find that 3/10th on Sainz from somewhere to get himself some DRS
2 0 ReplyBad decision for Norris and Albon. Was an obvious red flag situation imo.
2 0 ReplyNorris only lost 2 places - possibly better to definitely get new tires cheaply - imagine what we would have been saying if they just left it as a safety car
5 0 ReplyJust with the history of races where the Tecpro was dislodged, it was highly likely that it was going to get red flagged.

1 0 ReplyDoes anyone know if Aston are running the new or the old package?
1 0 ReplyAlonso should be running the new one. At least that was mentioned in the grid walk on F1TV.
3 0 ReplyAh, Ty.
Maybe that's why stroll is faster this week - really strange
2 0 Reply
Old, I think? They reverted Alonso's car in Austin and Stroll's car here.
2 0 ReplyAlonso is on the new package from Austin, Stroll is back on Qatar spec which is why he started from the pit lane.
Inverse of last week where Stroll was on the new package and Alonso was on Qatar spec.
2 0 Reply
I wonder if the one stop will work out for Ferrari...
1 0 ReplyMax is on track to get the second stop for "free", compared to the Ferraris.
4 0 Replynah, they will pit Charles with 2 to go to go for the fastest lap, and one of the tyres will get stuck...
2 0 ReplySplitting the strategy would be a good bet I think, looking at how the people who pitted are doing.
