The president has been discussing plans to rip up the grass in one of the White House’s most iconic locations and put in a hard surface to serve as a patio like the one at his Florida home and club.
What's scary about these stories is that it makes me think that Trump has absolutely no one near him who is going to stop any of his craziest impulses.
The President decides to invade Scotland because they protested his golf course? Why not?
He's one step below Putin at this point. Speak out against him and you get fired, harassed until you quit, or called out publicly to allow his goons to harass you into quitting or something more lethal.
I believe the exact opposite, Trump is being closely handled this time around. The powers that be have a lock on him.
Notice you don't hear him speak much anymore? Seems to be far fewer Truth Social posts, and the ones I've seen are often written with a clearness they lacked before. Just looked at his feed, almost no words from Trump, all links to articles.
Remember the senile stuff he was spouting in the run up to the election? Where did that all go?
They let him do silly shit like this so he feels in control. Manipulating Trump is the same strategy as controlling a willful toddler.
That's my theory. The dude had a stroke. He's running on fumes and might not make it in a year or two.
JD Vance is trying to keep his job long enough to not get Jan 6 Mike Pence, while there's no question in my mind Musk wants to run America. There's going to be some infighting soon.
And maybe the Democrats are doing the right thing by letting the powderkeg happen. Unfortunately, the Democrats are infighting too because all the old rich Democrats need to die out so the AOC/Bernie folks can take over. But thats too optimistic.
no, it’s the same strategy as before:
1: do some horrible, damaging thing.
2: people and news get mad.
3: do some very offensive thing.
4: news reports on that instead, people mostly forget about #1.
5: GOTO step 1.
It makes sense. Trump hates all living things that aren't Trump so he'd naturally despise plant life and would prefer all paved, and ideally gold plated, scenery.
