Aside from the usual stuff, my phone has a 22000mAh battery I can use to charge devices while in the boondocks. The speaker is no slouch either, so it's my main BT speaker. It's also as tough as a tank.
Do not use a window for sunlight?! How else am I to obtain sunlight?
I'll add a very, very important thing. Use an app to kill the blue light coming off your screen(s). Notice how when you see a TV screen from the street or behind curtains it's always blue?
Notice how the dawn starts out bluish and dusk goes red? The blue light is energizing you, telling you to be awake.
Lord. They just got through a typhoon. After that was gone my wife showed me pics of her hometown (Manila) airport flooded out. And now this.
Saved my own life because I had learned to swim and float at 5.
Don't have a dog ATM, but when I did, and had scummy friends and neighbors, I noticed that thieves are always afraid of dogs.
You sound a lot like me is what I'm saying.
Been hunting a trashed projection TV to swipe one from. Saw a dude on YouTube melt a rock with one.
I have a pet pig living in far better conditions.
LOL, while you're dreaming up evil ideas, some simple brown camouflage would help as well.
White on the bottom so it's hard to see from underneath, brown on top so it blends with the ground from above. Like a fish,
I pack out trash every time I hike or kayak. Sometimes I don't have enough garbage bags.
From Radio Shack?!
I got zero problems with idiot gamers who continue to pay for and encourage this behavior.
I really appreciate Swift trying to (mainly) stay apolitical, but if there was ever a time for her to speak out, it would be this October.
Used to play a game with myself where if the headline didn't mention the political party I would guess if was a Democrat or Republican proposal.
"Does this hurt anyone?" Doesn't matter if they "deserve" to be hurt or anything else. "Will this hurt any group(s) of people?"
If yes, it's a GOP thing. Every. Time.
Now consider this headline:
"Man kills neighbor over political dispute."
Who would you assume did the killing, a liberal or a conservative, and what would you assume about the victim's politics?
Welcome! Links are easy! Use brackets [] to enclose your text and use parentheses () to contain the link.

The backslash \ is the escape character. That's how I posted the above without it turning into an actual link.
*text* for italics
**text** for bold
* text for a bullet point
Plenty more, but those I the markups I commonly use. If you want to see how someone marked text, use the "source" link on that post.
And can someone tell us how to paste code like on reddit?
Those mags can't have fired for but a couple of seconds with so little ammo.
Had to look this up yesterday as I had thought the same. In rodents anyway, the orange color is from amino acids, not the iron in their teeth.
Nothing too exciting in that PDF for me, but I have fingers crossed for a good Project Hail Mary film.
Everything I'm reading says they use 220V/60Hz.
Thinking about taking up cross stich, but I have no idea what I'm asking.
Where do I begin to even see if I'm interested?
Looking to buy, but I'm clueless.
I'm wanting something to run around the hood and offroad, mostly in deep sand. An electric version of this: https://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/product/coleman-mini-bike-bt200x-g
What else do I need to be concerned about?
How do I find owls arounds here? I hear Barred Owls all the time, never seen one.
Got a couple of acres in a NW Florida swamp. Been hearing Barred Owls for years.
How do I spot one? And tricks other than sitting still and being quiet? They seem to come pretty close. Can I "bait" them somehow with a box or something they would like to visit?
Funny story: First night I camped, three were doing their call/response thing. Every time they called, closer, and closer. Freaky sounding, one of the calls sounds almost like a child crying out.
For some reason, my idiot self thought coyotes were closing in. (Yes, I know well what coyotes sound like.)
Got a little freaked, grabbed my .410 (tiny shotgun) and decided to take the fight to them, scare 'em off (didn't want them rooting around my site). Again, I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed, promptly got lost.
Got home, "Hey Google! What do coyotes sound like?" Oh FFS. I am not a clever man.
Saw a Pileated Woodpecker the other day though! Super cool and way bigger than I thought.
Tips on carrying a 1911 for a small guy?
Probably just not feasible, but I have many pistols and the 1911 is what I'm best at. I carry an LCP MAX and some other .380s, but I'm not so hot with those. Also have a slightly larger Ruger 9MM that works great. Just about can't miss with the Colt Government Model.
I suppose the answer is to practice, practice, practice with the smaller guns?
Window prism and wedding bouquet
Saw this on the table. Been waiting all year for the prism to start working well!
So Kissinger must have had use to someone? What did he do right and for who?
It stands to reason he must have been doing something right to have stayed so close to the halls of power.
I was a toddler when he was carpet bombing Cambodia, never knew him as anything but "an important person" that was sometimes on the TV. Only learned of his crimes in the past decade.
How did an in-your-face war criminal retain such influence for so long?
Can I play here if I'm only an ally?
I'm an old (GenX), straight, white, American guy, but I'm right with you all.
I might say things that are offensive, because I can't pretend to be in your shoes and might get something wrong. I'm often just trying to understand. Hell, I didn't figure out that gay rights are civil rights, my rights, our rights, until 10+ years ago.
It's 100% OK if you want to keep this a non-cis space. I get that and won't be butthurt.
(If shotguns are your jam, I got many more to post! Weirdly, of all the antique and vintage shotguns I have, this cheap-ass Turkish thing runs like a dream.)
I've got two sewing machines. Where do I even begin to learn?
Nothing fancy, neither is terribly new or old. Not being able to sew is really holding me back on DIY projects.
Is there an "Operating a Sewing Machine for Dummies" video or tutorial you like?
