This effects everyone that only has Social Security as their retirement plan not to leave out Medicare. The cost of living raise is 2.5% this year and yet the prices of all the basic things any house needs have skyrocketed. If He chisels away at the programs there is no wiggle room for most people on it as it is.
Define "survive"
Humans are incredibly resilient but at the same time yes, more of them will end up homeless and some will likely die before they would otherwise have.
That being said most people won't care, because the ones that will end up in the worst situations are the ones without family or friends to even be aware it's happening.
This didn't just start, seniors trying to live on Social Security is why they are the fastest growing segment of the homeless population. And if you're unaware, Biden had continued Social Security and Medicare privatization plans that Trump had put into effect. Fucking over the elderly and the population in general is bipartisan.

I guess I really struggle to give two shits at this point. Not to dismiss or minimize your struggles if this is going to directly affect you, I do feel some level of empathy but overall, I just don't care anymore.
We're just going to have to see where the chips fall but I mean 72 million people and 15 million others that include Democrats and progressives decided that this is the course that America should take and take it America should.
Sucks but this is what America will deserve and there's not much you'll be able to do about it other than hope you and others like you have a local community to fall back on.

They are so socially divided and instead of working together despite the circumstances, families and friends break up because of a vote and people wish death upon each other. Kudos to you to serve as a negative example so others can do better to not end up in a cesspool of blinded polarization and hate, eliminating any chances of actually realizing that you are the same people ought to support each other no matter of what you voted. The GOP doesn't care about old people or disabled people because they don't have jobs so they don't matter. Eliminating the "weak ones" is their goal.
Nothing is going to happen to social security, at least for the old people. If you're in your 30s or less, it might not exist by the time you're eligible, but that has little to do with trump.
If they would survive a Harris presidency, they would survive the orange one. There are many other resources out there such as food banks and free clinics. The same chicken little bs went around when Hillary lost yet we didn't die.___
A lot of people died who didn't need to, in the United States, during the pandemic of 2020, due to a certain orange jackass making basic mask wearing into a political statement, instead of a matter of human decency to each other.
