Netanyahu is holding onto power by extending the war and escalating the violence. The decision of the Israelis to elect him may lead to a regional war should the country begin fighting Iran.

Attacking and destroying any home or location hamas was holding hostage in, blaming every death on Hamas then go into a genocidal war in Gaza.

When two hostages with white flags get shot by IDF in the first few weeks you know the plan never to negotiate anything.
