Israel brands Palestinian detainees with numbers on their foreheads
  • If you can't understand the difference between having your hand stamped at a concert and a fucking military writing "your" number on your forehead in permanent marker then I literally have nothing else to say to you.

  • Is there a Lemmy community for discussion of purchasing a new car?
  • I'm gonna push back on most comments I'm seeing, most of whats recommended looks like suspension or maintenance. Imo, you'd be better off doing the repairs at this point, of that's absolutely everything needed on the truck, and the body is in decent shape. $7000 is a year of payments for almost any new vehicle, and about 18 months on a newer used vehicle. Definitely get a second opinion, and I wouldn't fix this all at once, or even bother with something like that parking brake. If you are set on upgrading, go drive anything that looks decent.

  • How do I avoid enshitification of my keyboard and mouse
  • I can't remember how to do it offhand, but you should be able to save the settings to the hardware itself, then disable Logitech from opening. I changed settings not too long ago (2ish months) and this worked.

  • Your electric car will fall apart before its battery pack does, study finds
  • I'm not sure the Prius is actually relevant to this conversation in anyway. That 300,000 doesn't account for time, and batteries also aren't made of the same materials. You also have Cabs upping that average, which most people are not cab drivers. And that is a significant factor, as I'm pretty sure the Prius is one of, if not the most popular vehicles for Cabbies.

  • Shopped in women's section for the first time!

Not a huge thing, just some shoes and socks, and something people won't really pick up on (some Toms). But either way, a friend went with me for a confidence boost and I'm super happy.

Just bought my first fem piece of clothing.

I'm so fuckin happy rn. Gonna go shopping a bit more tomorrow I think. I took Elise's advice and ended up going to a fetish shop, ended up only buying some stocking but I feel like I need more lmao. Did look around the city to see if any shops would kind of fit the bill (LGBTQ+ friendly, drag) but everything else was so public facing and I'm definitely not ready for that. I also checked local LGBTQ+ alliance page websites and there wasn't anything listed in my city.

    Trans friendly store advice?

Any ideas to find trans friendly clothing stores near me? Live in a fairly conservative place but don't really have access to online shopping. Idk, just want to actually try a dress on somewhere.

    Eruda on Lemmy pages?

I suddenly have a little widget called Eruda on Lemmy pages and cannot seem to disable, and did not install this myself. Any ideas? Not sure where else to post.

What is Eruda? Only active on Lemmy tabs

On Firefox mobile, suddenly have a little widget that links back to something called Eruda. I didn't install this, and can't seem to disable. Any tips?

    Sharing RAW files?

Hey there, I have been shooting a couple of Autocross events recently. I intend to edit and give the photos I am happy with away free of charge. A person in the photos has requested the raw shots and I just want to hear some opinions as I am conflicted.
