And is GrapheneOS Dev threatened by Louis Rossman?
No and now I've answers to a lot of my questions
So you will have to emulate all this apps? Like I'm not talking about these on the play store like games or others, I'm talking about the great apps that you can find on fdroid
Okay but all the apps developed for android will now being useless?
LineageOS is more degoogled than others like eOS?
That's really depending on your use cases, for example if I want to install distro for my grandma use Mint, for a graphic guy (as in this example) use Arch or Fedora (or even OpenSUSE), etc.
I've seen that you basically have two choice (more but not very relevant) GrapheneOS for security and /e/OS for privacy. Thoughts on it?
You can first remove the internet access but if your running android it maybe goes trough the restriction and directly to the internet. So juste don't use Gboard, use HeliBoard great open board fork with some improvements
That seems to be a great distro to follow
I'm not using Brave and I don't like it. Personnaly if you're on desktop or laptop just use Firefox (Waterfox for soft-privacy browser, Librewolf and Mullvad for better one). Brave is firstly based on chromium, have a relation with crypto. Not my browser of choice and will never recommend it to anyone.
Thought on Graphene?
Hello, making this post to get some honest, and technical opinions about GrapheneOS. Please do not be bother by this question. No drama here pls 🙏. I've heard that there is some of the google code into the "sandbox" feature. Say your opinion below! 👇👇
I think it's a bit too old, if you want to stay in the pixel ecosystem maybe try to grab a 6, 6a or 6 pro. They are around $250, and they are great!
Great thing, but bro please be a country against chat-control
It's not purely the ads that bother me, it's the company behind it, to integer ads you have to use google, meta scripts. Big problem for privacy
But with this change from reddit to Lemmy the should have done the same thing for their client
I'm okay with him earning money to live, but put ads is absolutely not something to do. Donate to him, etc. But you shouldn't use an app with ads

EU approval for chat control

We need to do something against this. The EU plans to apply a law for a chat control in the territory. The approval say that all the chats and the emails would be send to the government to do AI scanning to in fact “find the children abuses”, even when using apps with end-to-end encryption (the EU will ask the services to open their secrets keys… we know that Microsoft, Google and Facebook have already agreed to this. On the other hand Signal for example had said that they would leave the EU if this law will be applied). We need to counter this, because this restrict the privacy and the security of the citizens. Even if you’re not living in the EU, you should take a look because that could encourage others to do the same! Please take a look of the situation and make you your own idea of the case. Find out here the votes results for now, by countries and more... mepwatch.eu
Some others organizations criticized the approval, a open letter/petition was posted here : globalencryption.org
PS : I know that this was posted on the community a bit before (https://lemmy.world/post/16093632) but I think this is really important and the people should know it. That's a really regrettable decision for the population. thx

Need recommandations for a home server
Hey, I'm always searching a home server (already post here https://lemmy.ml/post/15083947), I was thinking about a Lenovo P500, but maybe the PSU is a bit too special... My budget around $140, will buy used parts and one of the most important thing is the power efficiency (don't care about the peak wattage but want to stay around 50W idle and settling at about 70W when doing some work). Preferably I wouldn't like to buy mini PCs. 😃 Thx!

Differences between Kali ISOs?
Hi, I would know what are the differences between the vm-designed Kali Linux ISO and the "normal" one. Yes the vm-designed one is as "vm ready file", already configure and all the stuff... but what are the real differences, for example it says on the website that the vm one is isolated, but is this already not the case of a vm? And what is snapshots and vagrant image? thank you !
