Don't they make money by charging massive servers a fee ?

This just makes me so angry.
Once I became an adult I only take the meds on the days I work. I've never had any trouble with headaches or anything when I come off. I've been on every ADHD med available throughout the years all at the highest dosage they can give me.
Got a number of invites for HD Space and myanonamouse if anyone wants to trade.
I would say there are levels to pirates. Not everyone here wants or needs to be a pirate 100% of the time. Sure, everyone could download all their music but why bother if you have a streaming service that you consider cheap and you prefer streaming over storage. Like anything, they're levels to it.
Finally. I've been more active over on .ml because of this. Glad you guys are reasonable and reversed the decision.
The LostTrust ransomware operation is believed to be a rebrand of MetaEncryptor, utilizing almost identical data leak sites and encryptors.
Nostr is the easiest to use decentralized Twitter alternative I've came across.
Google pays 93m to settle Android tracking lawsuit
California's Attorney General announced today that Google will pay $93 million to settle a privacy lawsuit alleging it violated the U.S. state's consumer protection laws.
Same. I left for a while but there's not enough content here in the places I visit. I'll leave once enough gets here though.
You can compile infinity with your own API key and it will still function.
Damn, when?
I do not trust Whatsapp to provide the security of a signal conversation. Who wants signal and WhatsApp to talk to each other ?
Out of curiosity, have you played BG3 ? It seems that most people who don't like the game are coming to starfield right from BG3 and those who do have not played it. BG3 is now just the bar that AAA story telling is held to and anyone who has experienced it is having a hard time with the story of other games.
Hisense TVs come with a physical microphone switch that disables the mic. Idk if this is on the budget end of TVs but I paid about 1500 for mine and it has it.
I hate those types of games and I've still managed to sink 50 hours in bg3 and I'm not even done with the first act yet. It's the new standard for AAA gaming.
I believe you can do Ethernet over USB c on some devices.
New Sextortion Scam Going Around
A new sextortion scam is making the rounds that pretends to be an email from the adult site YouPorn, warning that a sexually explicit video of you was uploaded to the site and suggesting you pay to have it taken down.
I agree with you. This is the issue at hand.
Forever 21 breached - 500,000 account leaked.
Forever 21 clothing and accessories retailer is sending data breach notifications to more than half a million individuals who had their personal information exposed to network intruders.
Leaked info includes banking info and SSN.
They are doing away with that soon. Going to usernames.
Paramount suffered a data breach.
American entertainment giant Paramount Global disclosed a data breach after its systems got hacked and attackers gained access to personally identifiable information (PII).
Listened to the latest episode of Security Now, it's great. Thanks for recommending it!
Thanks for the recommendations! I'll check these out omw to work today.
Join the session chat!
Hello everyone, I have created a session chat group so we can chat anonymously and privately. Session groups are limited to 100 members so if we get close to that limit I will host our own session community, which has no limit on members.

What kind of guides do you want to see?
I would like to start creating some basic guides on topics I am skilled in. Some examples are a broad, high level overview of OSINT and how to do it. SSRF, SQLMap, leveraging AI for hacking, password cracking(Hashcat), and a number of other topics. Is there any interest in these or are there specific topics you all would like a guide / walkthrough/ cheats sheet for? If any of you want to create a guide for anything feel free to do so. Once I get the wiki up and running the best guides will be placed in the wiki.

Hello everyone!
Hello everyone and welcome to the lemmy.world hacking community! Anything related to hacking is allowed here. but be careful what you say on lemmy. Lemmy is not private and tools already exist to try and identify lemmy users. With that being said I will create a signal group and a session chat group if the community is interested in that. If there is anything at all I can help you with, please don't hesitate to ask. I will try and have the basic tool repo online by next weekend and then I will open it up to others so we can edit it as a community.

What's your favorite email app?
I'm tried of how terrible Gmail is. Id like an email client with folders or categories. If it can sort them automatically (like how Googles now defunct inbox app used to) that would be even better.
Edit: in a couple days or whenever the activity on this post slows down. I will update this post with a list of the most recommended email app.

We can't be like the reddit community.
The hacking community on Reddit is imo one of the most toxic communities. Nearly every question someone asks the top comment is someone talking shit about OP, insulting them, or just gatekeeping hacking in general. We were all new once, if someone asks a script kiddie question, then help them out and point them in the right direction.
Would you use threads if it respected your privacy?
I keep seeing everyone say their privacy is why they aren't going to use threads. I don't think that's entirely true. I think most of us here have a hatred so deep for meta that even if they made the greatest app on earth, we'd still not use it. So, if threads actually respected your privacy would you use it?
Why is connect tracking so much?
I use jerboa, liftoff, and connect. Connect is the only one that has this kind of tracking going on.
Alternative Front Ends
Anyone else prefer an alternative app or front end for browsing f-droid ? I personally use Droid-ify for the more modern layout.
