You're alive so you still have the option. We are all responsible for our own happiness. Invest in yourself and things will improve. Force yourself to go outside your comfort zone. Even if that is to go to a coffeeshop by yourself and read a book. You can do it OP
😄 Fair enough. Thanks for getting back to me

No but this doesn't do anything to "deal" with the problem as anyone can built up trust like Jian tan showed. The argument that this makes us more secure is like saying closed source is more secure cause the hackers dont have access to the source.
We have evidence of the US messing with nist standards so by that same logic should we assume all us actors are bad ?
The solution is to verify the code maybe have multiple people from different locations have to review stuff. Build more checks into the process.
The whole point of it being open is that it can be reviewed. It shouldn't matter where the contributor is from as all code should be subjected to a rigorous review process.
Same could be said for any intelligence service . it is better to focus on preventing and detecting these things through analysis and code reviews.
And they could just offer boatloads of cash to someone in another country to insert something so this doesn't really prevent anything it only isolates a certain subset of people.
Just finished it today on yuzu, only issue I had was some of the coloring on the rifts in the overworld. I used the 18.1.0 firmware for anyone that wants to know
Was always a fan of this and opus III - its a fine day , which was later remixed by orbital for their halcyon track. All great tracks
That'll do for breakfast on some toast 😋
This is why above all I prefer roms and emulators. I have already paid my dues years ago on the consoles. I have steam and the deck to support Linux as the rest are anti consumer and dont give a shit about linux.
The problem is worse with consoles as they can have short life-cycles and the discs are tied to the hardware or console specific online service eg eshop.
Personally I just throw my roms in directories and serve them from nginx. Its easier to just pull them down on deck that way and requires no extra effort or maintenance on my end.
Everything else is on steam.
If the news is that important you'll find it elsewhere without this bs
I would rather a long life cycle. Devs shouldn't be releasing unoptimized games in the first place. The current deck is powerful enough to run most things and a release every year means worse support and more e-waste in addition to minimal advances in tech to justify the cost. It also fragments the market for supported on deck status.
Its not supposed to replace a top of the line gaming rig.
Well it will probably keep working unless you update to a newer android version that could break the app. In the long term we have to hope someone picks up the torch.
Whatever emulator you can run and the ROMs of your choice.

I was only able to play skate 3 so far with better performance than rpcs3. I didn't change any settings in the conf file. It is using the vulkan renderer.
I limit the fps to 30, TPD to 8 and GPU to 1200.
I'm trying a few games here and there to see but It can only improve over time.
PassAndroid
I came across this as I needed to install some proprietary app to view a .pkpass file and I discovered this FOSS app instead that does the job and doesnt share the data with any third parties.
Anyway I'm just spreading the word.
The text below is copied from fdroid.
"Displays Passbook (*.pkpass) files & shows the Barcode (QR, PDF417 and AZTEC format). It can be used also when offline.
This app is a viewer for passes - a pass could be a e.g. boarding-pass for your next flight, a coupon for a nice hot beverage on the destination, a movie ticket, a membership card - there are a lot of possibilities. Basically it is a replacement for a piece of paper or plastic you would normally have to carry with you - so lets save some trees and reduce waste!
How does it work?
There are so called espass or pkpass files - you can open them with this app - e.g. when you receive them via email or get an Download-option. The most important content is the BarCode ( QR , AZTEC & PDF417which authorizes you most of the time - but it also has other interesting content like a description - often a time ( that you now can add to your calendar ) - often also locations ( to give you directions ) - just try It out! The app is offline usable once you downloaded the pass!"
‘I find Westerners in general, and Europeans in particular, extremely indoctrinated and obsessed with perceptions of their own uniqueness. Many see themselves as chosen people, after going through a one-sided education and after relying on their media outlets, without studying alternative sources.’
why are grunts aligned with the brutes in H3 after the events in H2
In halo 2 the grunts side with the elites while the jackels side with the brutes and the prophets.
Why then in halo 3 are the grunts fighting alongside the brutes and jackels ?
I've been jumping between games recently and noticed it and I'm wondering was it ever addressed anywhere ?

Irish MEPs across the political spectrum release joint statement calling for ceasefire in Gaza
Irish MEPs from across a broad political spectrum this morning, Thursday 26 October, released a joint statement calling for a ceasefire in Gaza. The statement echoes the recent resolution passed by Dáil Éireann, the position adopted by the Irish government, and the recent statements of the United Nations Secretary General, and urges the Council of the European Union to call for an immediate ceasefire, as well as urgent efforts to meet the humanitarian needs of people in Gaza, ahead of the Council meeting today.
The statement was initiated and drafted by Independents 4 Change MEPs Mick Wallace (LEFT) and Clare Daly (LEFT), and is co-signed by MEPs from every political group with Irish representatives, namely: Luke ‘Ming’ Flanagan (LEFT) Colm Markey (EPP), Chris MacManus (LEFT), Grace O’Sullivan (Greens/EFA), Ciarán Cuffe (Greens/EFA)and Billy Kelleher (Renew).
In a press release, Mr Wallace said:
We feel it is extremely important that as Irish MEPs we stand together and amplify calls for a ceasefire ahead of the European Council meeting today. Ireland is a neutral country with a proud history of peacekeeping and therefore we feel Ireland’s representatives in the European Parliament speak from a unique position. We must do everything we can to stop the slaughter, the death toll is well over 5,000 now. It is important to keep the pressure on for a constructive intervention from the EU in line with international law.”
Ms Daly also said:
"The Palestinian people need our urgent support and solidarity, which is why we have asked all the Irish MEPs to join us in calling for a ceasefire. Europe's leaders will meet today and tomorrow to discuss the conflict. The terms of their statement matter. There is talk of them calling only for a “humanitarian pause.” That is not the same thing as a ceasefire - it amounts to a temporary stop to the killing, after which it will continue. It is essential that we remind them that it is imperative that the conclusions of that meeting include a call for a ceasefire, and for urgent humanitarian assistance to Gaza.”
The text of the statement is as follows:
"With regard to the current situation in the Middle East and the Occupied Palestinian Territories, Irish Members of the European Parliament, from across a broad spectrum of political groups, wish to echo the recent resolution passed by the Dáil; the position adopted by the Irish government; and the statements of the United Nations Secretary General, and therefore urge the Council of the European Union to call for an immediate ceasefire, as well as urgent efforts to meet the humanitarian needs of people in Gaza. We stress the universal applicability of international humanitarian law, its binding nature on all parties in all conflicts and remind the Council that indiscriminate warfare resulting in the killing of civilians cannot be justified - in any circumstances. Given the intensity of hostilities, and the enormous loss of life that has already occurred, we consider that calling for anything less than an immediate ceasefire would depart from the European Union’s responsibility to uphold international law, to protect human life, and to secure peace.
