Honestly, it's a good thing.
When people try things like this, it helps that they're stupid and easy to point to.
It allows the devs to see and fix problems as they're exploited. I can see an easy "fix" being implementing a character limit on community names.
74 1 ReplyAlso probably a rate limit? You don't need to make that many communities that often.

Just to be clear, this is a basement dweller's temper tantrum. You can smell the cheeto dust, mountain dew, and impotent rage through the screen.
67 0 ReplyI like how this is supposed to be a "fuck it up" action instead of just a very minor inconvenience as well. If you want to fuck it up, do like a DDoS at least if you don't have the technical knowledge to find exploits.

It's a public platform, attacks, whether by white hat hackers or those with ill intend, are to be expected.
It should be double checked whether this can cause a buffer overflow, otherwise it's just a little annoying.
Edit: Okay, quite annoying, fair enough.
36 1 ReplyAbusing the system to flood the “trending communities” with pure bullshit is a bit more than a “little” annoying.
Sorry you couldn’t squat community names for profit, loser.

The user has been banned but those communities have not been deleted yet (for whatever reason).
