Kayak VR. It was really cool and pretty for about half an hour, then I got bored and sick. I have a pretty strong VR stomach, but something about the way the motion works in the game just didn't work for me.
I also didn't really care for Arizona Sunshine. Maybe it's the story or the way the zombies were done, but I wasn't too thrilled with it.
I used to be able to say VRChat, but then I met a lot of cool people people in there during some private raves, and it completely flipped my opinion on the platform. Popular public rooms are still pretty much asking for trouble.
+1 for Kayak. It does have some actual gameplay parts with racing and stuff, but it’s just frantically waving your arms around and I don’t enjoy doing that for too long.
For me one of them is Resident Evil 4 on Quest. The cutscenes are killing it for me, it might very well be the best and biggest VR game for standalone, but I don’t want to be standing in a dark room watching a 2D video every time my character jumps, kicks, walks up a ladder, etc. It’s super annoying and I don’t know how anyone can enjoy that game this way.
If it were just the story cut scenes, I’d be mostly fine with it. But at least make the character actions native. I’m desperately awaiting the PSVR remake, seems like it’ll be a big step up.
The first time I did a kick I knew I wouldn't bother completing the game.
I had the same issue with The Forest. 3rd person cameras have no place in VR, ever.
Yeah, I wish going to 2D would be optional. With like a warning or something when you go to disable it that you better be completely immune to VR sickness. For those of us that are, it's a much preferable option to still be in character for cutscenes.
I wouldn't even mind if they wanted to go way overboard and have it default back to on every time you start up the software again. Hehe. I get how terrible it is for everyone else, like immediately within the first second of it happening.
I expected to dislike RE8 because it’s also a port with button press interactions and cut scenes, but it actually didn’t bother me as much there and I overall really enjoyed that game. Throw me around the map, let me do loopings I don’t care. Just don’t teleport me into a 2d black room and force me to watch my character kick a barrel.
I bought Beat Saber and didn't like almost any of the music it comes with so I've only played it about 3 times. I have heard that mods can help but haven't been interested enough to get on that
It’s actually one of the few games that I occasionally come back to. It’s not perfect by any means, but it’s a coop zombie shooter. I haven’t come across a better one and I quite like that in general. I also think it’s quite decent.
Honesty, I like it, but I can barely finish a level without feeling like puking.
I've spent a bunch of hours in VR without issues, but sadly I can't manage that one.
Walking dead saints and sinners. Just not my cup of tea. I may get it again one day give it ago see how I feel about it I just wasn't a fan of the combat
