Love hurts

She legitimately said "he seemed well adjusted." After telling me he looked a lot like me 15 years ago.

  TBH if people aren't more well adjusted than they were at any point in their past I'd be mildly to greatly disappointed.
Kinda sounds like an indirect compliment for you? Like; looks like you from 15 years ago - - > seems well adjusted.

Could also be a slight against the you from 15 years ago though.

- Yeah I don't know OP's life, but if anyone ever said that to me I would interpret it the second way.
  
  Honestly my first thought, but tone of voice doesn't really carry over with text so she might be joking.
- Interpreting it like that requires some self-confidence.
