I didn't realize winget was exclusive to Pro. I ran Windows 8, 8.1, and 10 Pro from launch day until I stopped using Windows altogether last year. A Windows 7 Home Premium license was significantly more expensive after Windows 8 launched at 40 bucks, and I needed an OS for my new gaming rig.
Get Noted: WinGet is not only available for Windows Pro.
WinGet the Windows Package Manager is available on Windows 11, modern versions of Windows 10, and Windows Server 2025 as a part of the App Installer. The App Installer is a System Component delivered and updated by the Microsoft store on Windows Desktop versions, and via Updates on Windows Server 2025.

Idk what optimizations Microsoft stacked on top of Chromium, but Edge is effectively Chrome. It’s based on the same code as Chrome. Unless Microsoft managed to fix Chrome in some way Google couldn’t.
I disagree. Edge is an acceptable browser if you just want a browser. This meme stems from the days of Internet Explorer and for IE it was valid. IE was a subpar browser at the time. It failed to do the bare minimum, like keep up with w3 standards.
Before I learned about containers in Firefox, Edge was my secondary browser (to log into second accounts)
