Access to the playtest

If I understand correctly, the only way to access the playtest is by getting an invite through Steam from someone who already has access.

~~So, simple question. Will someone be so kind to invite me?~~

Maybe we can turn this thread into a general thread for requests like mine. I am sure there are many folks out there who would like to play.

For anyone that wants beta access just add me on Steam, no need to send a message or anything. The only requirement is that you have a non-limited Steam Account, aka, you've spent at least 5€ on Steam.

The Invite will take up to a day to be send out by Steam, and I might not always be awake to immediately add you.

Quick FAQ:

Q: Do you need to be friends for at least X days to send an Invite?

A: Nope, upon accepting a friend request the invite can be send out immediately

Q: Is there a limit to how many people can be invited?

A: Also nope, the only limit is the friends list, and if that happens I can just remove some folks

Q: Do i need to keep you in my friends list to continue playing the Beta?

A: Once again, nope, when you get the notif you've been invited, simply accept it and you can remove me from your friends list

Anyone who wants an invite: DM me a generated quick invite link so I can add you on steam right away and submit your name for an invite. I won't be hurt if you unfriend me after receiving the invite. When I submit your user for an invite, it says it can take 1-2 days or more. I think most have been within the hour.

They patched it so the invite can only go to someone you have been friends with for 30 days now.

- I can confirm this is not the case as recently as the last hour.
- This rumour has been doing the rounds for a while but is demonstrably false. I invited someone yesterday that I only just added to my friends list, and they got their playtest invite today.
- Where did you get that info from? I can still invite people that just got added to my friends list

  If valve didn't change anything it usually takes 1-3 hours and you will get an email/notification in steam when you're able to join.

I noticed the main screen has a matchmaking schedule, is there a set end date for the playtest? Or is it just the hours the matchmaking servers are up?

  That is the time the matchmaking is up in your region. The playtest itself is said to run indefinitely.

  Steam auto accepts the request if you use the friend link afaik so we should be friends now :)
Pretty sure you need to be friends for 30 days to be able to invite people.
