Hunter Biden is will be on trial in Delaware on June 3 on federal firearms charges in a case accusing him of lying about his drug use on a federal form when he bought a gun in October 2018.
I think crucially it has the potential to show moderate voters that President Biden is not one to abuse the legal system for his own personal gain. If the outcome is supported by evidence and precedent, obviously some won’t be convinced by even that. But some will be.
The precedent is that those crimes are rarely charged [1] so if anyone has the right to claim there is a witch hunt against them, it's Biden, not Trump. But of course this trial gets the same attention as all the Trump trials to make it seem like both candidates are the same.
The thing that made me realize Biden is a genuinely good person was that voicemail that Fox News leaked, ironically to try and harm Biden. It wasn't intended for the cameras. It was just an honest view into who he is, a really great father.
