You guys are getting robbed.
20 0 ReplyAre they? I pay $25/month for unlimited data here in the US with Visible.
I think it's available in Canada with their premium version for $35/month.

Yeah, they're getting scammed. Hard.
Data caps are the biggest joke in the first world. Can't believe so many people have them.
7 1 ReplyThere are options in Canada for cheaper phone plans. When I moved to Lum Mobile there was a promo that gave me 25gb of data for free, and data on Lum never expires. Since I am basically always somewhere with wifi, I bought a data I can pay $180 CAD to Lum for my phone for the year. I used a little over 1gb last year.
That's $10.89 American a month.

Depends on the deals you can get. I'm currently getting 120gb/month for $55. Sure not great when compared to a lot of other companies but definitely a lot better than many of the advertised prices.
1 0 ReplyReally? What’s a better plan in Canada for a better price?
1 0 ReplyI think you did not get the meaning the phrase “you guys are being robbed”.

Spoiler, it's just Bell.

There's only 2 (ish) physical nationwide phone networks in the country. Anyone else is going ro be running on that same infrastructure.
Either they're running on Bell's infrastructure (which will include Telus in the west), or they're on Rogers infrastructure.
No low(er) cost brand or new company is going to be able to spend the hundreds of billions to build their own nationwide infrastructure.
1 0 ReplyWhich is why we have 50 'different' providers who all offer the same service for the same price.

Notably, the plans priced $29 to $50 are pretty much the same as what’s offered by PC Mobile, which offers 5G speeds.
3 0 ReplyThe photo shows only data, but the article mentions also about calls, texts etc. With that price I don't think it's worth.
