Given Toph's whole deal I honestly thought this was 100% intentional; moreover, an intentional joke by Toph herself
Huh. How did I never make that connection? That's hilarious.
What's better is she doesn't do this with metal. She just wrapped that door straight around her face.
I figured she did this so her allies could see it was her. Mouths and noses are harder to identify than Toph's blind eyes.

- Hmm. I get what you're saying, but our eyes are a massive weak spot. Not just in support of seeing, but those two squishy orbs are all that protects the eye socket and our brains beyond.
