Jean-Claude Van Damme had a good line.
He said that when he was 10 years old he decided that he wanted to be a world famous martial arts actor. Now he's a 50 year old man living a child's dream.
I admire Madonna, Garth Brooks and Lady Gaga for the same reasons. They all said, "I'm going to do this thing.", and did it. And they sure aimed high.
I don’t think that’s what’s meant. It’s not that he set out to do a thing and achieved it; it’s that he set out to do what a child dreamed of but now he’s a grown man.
Yeah, and it sounds like now he has 50 year old dreams that he yearns for instead.
And therefore..... this is an example of the dreams of youth definitely not being the regrets of maturity.
