I’ll be honest, my new guilty pleasure is Fortnite. Once they added No Build modes (and the whole Roblox-type assortment of variations), the game was less about the niche skill of building mechanics. My friend and I can play duos and have a lot of fun, as long as we don’t take it too seriously.
I had played Overwatch since the beta, but it’s really discouraging to play now for a multitude of reasons. I actually have much less anxiety playing Fornite. And I like to have a separate adventure game that is chill, if I’m not feeling the pressure of battle royale.

It’s a landscape orientation but zooming it still looks great on mobile.
I’m trying Pixelfed to host this.
I have been primarily using Post Images and using the “direct link” to post to Lemmy. So far this allows for direct download for others, versus needing to go to another website to download the image.
I figure it lowers the hosting load for the Lemmy servers. Plus, if for what ever the Lemmy instance goes down, you could repost your images to another instance.
I haven’t checked out Pixelfed
Edit: Oh, I didn’t realize Pixelfed is on the Fediverse. That looks promising.
PSA: The mod options do not appear until you click the post or comment…
…they are not available from the preview three menu. You must first click the post or comment, then three dot menu.
Something so simple gave me quite the issue, so I hope this saves someone trouble.
I had this exact issue and could not get an answer until I messaged the admin. The options only appear after you click the post, then click the three dots. You do not have the mod options from the preview. Let me know if that makes sense.
I love the honeycomb shape and the designs are super clean. Thanks again @[email protected]
I guess at this point it’s becoming a…… bee-flex 🥸
I feel as though we need a (grand)dad jokes community!
Here is the general info for mods
I found it helpful, although I cannot seem to access those moderator options on a post or comment from a mobile browser at the moment.
Please share any other ideas, suggestions, or questions about moderating any of the Lemmy instances.

@[email protected] is working on a directory for Lemmy. I think it had total subscribers at one point, but I’m only seeing users/month now. Maybe that’s in the works.
The link is here, check it out: https://www.lemmy.directory/communities/listing_type/All/page/1-
PSA: Search for communities across all Lemmy instances with this site
I know there is a search option in Beehaw but not all results were listed from other instances. This search seems all-inclusive and pretty helpful to find communities.
changemyview was fantastic when people were actually open to discussing their view; I witnessed some very thoughtful discussions. Some people would unfortunately hardline their opinion and reply with things like, “Yeah but that doesn’t change my opinion,” and seemed as though they were not actually open to changing their view.
I agree that sub (like most) got repetitive and seemed to engage people on an increasingly superficial level. I guess I would prefer more thoughtful or engaging topics. I did check out the ask Lemmy community and will use that for now.
I have been trying out Mlem and it works for me. Between mini updates I did have it not load anything. I logged out and back in and then it loaded. Maybe try that?
Does the app successfully log in at all?
I really like changing my wallpapers, so something for mobile wallpapers. Also, I really enjoyed r/
whatisthisthing for wacky things people found
askdocs and legaladvice for advise on when to seek professional assistance
askreddit (which I see some posts, along with AMA-type things on c/chats)
YouShouldKnow and LifeProTips
Outoftheloop to ask questions for summaries (e.g., Why is everyone talking about Johnny Depp?)
Hello everyone, I’m one of the many from Reddit. I’m in the Midwest US and work as a registered nurse. I enjoy reading, video games (e.g., BOTW, Overwatch), table top games (e.g., Dominion), camping, and got a little into running. I consider myself a fairly goofy and laid back person.
I love learning about anything I can. This whole shift with Reddit really forced some introspection on how I interact with online communities and what I am hoping to get out of those connections. I realize the Beehaw communities are smaller, but I sense more personal connections, versus mostly viewing and scrolling content already upvoted by 10k people.
I am inspired by what the admins are doing with Beehaw and other Lemmy instances, and I’m looking forward to sharing and connecting more with other hawbeeists (I like that term from @[email protected]).
