CrowdStrike offers a $10 apology gift card to say sorry for outage | TechCrunch
  • I mean yikes. When I had to reschedule a meeting with a vendor because of an outage (that wasn't related to them) they sent me a $100 gift card so I could buy myself dinner. It was very sweet of them at a time where I was pretty stressed out by the fire I was putting out.

  • FTC launches probe into 'surveillance pricing' that it says links cost to customer data
  • There's so much information asymmetry between business and consumer. I would not mind if companies varied prices based on data, but did so transparently. With numbers and reasons why they were raising or lowering the price that I'm offered.

Of course, they'd never do that. Not without some aggressive regulation.

Edit: typo that completely changed my meaning

What did we all think of the Macy's fireworks last night?

I'll add my own opinion as a comment, too.

A "Christian, conservative, Constitution supporter" is holding the opposite of Pride Month at his Boise bar... but it still sounds pretty gay.

Did anyone else head outside for this amazing late night thunder storm?

    Maybe I'm the only weirdo.

Trenta Tre Pizzeria, NYC Midtown, $4.34

The slices are pretty wide even if they're short. Everything was cold but my toaster oven brought it back to life perfectly. Yummy and a good value. Would buy again!
