I went down that rabbit hole and really had no options that were satisfactory. I average almost a book every 10 days so it needs to just work. I got a kobo libra and love it. Supports all my formats and i sync over wifi with calibre-web
look on github for ytdl-sub. awesome app
Um I am 57. I and a good amount of gamers my age played the shit out of these games.
Gunfire is quite fun. Gtfo just didnt do it for me. Was fun but i tired of it quick.
16player pve coop is my dream again. The new starship trooper is acratching the ut invasion itch a good bit right now
Hah yea 800 mo and took 6mo to install as they had to run cable as there was no support for “residential” t1. And things moved fast. 3-4 years later i was a beta tester for verizon fios 1gig
If you were an invasion nut then you likely did. We had alot of good tweaks for invasion and it was HARD. 100th wave was only done once and took 6 hours to make it heh.
And i agree. 2k4 was good in so many ways. Ive been searching for something like it and it doesnt exist.
What I wish would come back is really good COOP PVE. I ran a hugely popular ut2004 Invasion server that we wrote a custom mutator for (Sudvasion). I had a T1 line to my house that just ran the servers. We had a solid dedicated group of people from all over the world playing that 24/7. Was the pinnacle of gaming for me. 18 years later I still chat with some of the community via steam disc etc.
do you use it? the znx stuff looks interesting,
Im almost 60. So not just a teenage thing. Arrrr!
that should be easily enough. My instance after a month and subbed to 120 communities is using about 1-2gb of disk space. 18.3 did a ton of work in performance.
What is it. Hate just links touting something without even a simple summary
I use a firefox sync login. If you then login on librewolf itll sync all of it.
They started cracking down on various way people got unlimited storage for free. Aome team drive changes i think.
Also pretty much killed the one user unlimited paid accounts. I had alot there and prices were going to be 500 mo. So i bought a bunch of hard drives and another synology. All local now.
I really like remmina use it daily for work. Tabby is interesting but too heavy imho
It really depends if you are doing for yourself or want to make money at it. There was a big boom here for hobby farms and i would say more than half have moved away back closer to the cities. At least 3-4 near me thought they could buy land and it magically grows crops. I spent a lot of time helping them get gardens in and explaining soil etc. They lasted 1 year. " too hard" or "too much work"...
It really depends on the game. Some you wouldnt expect to be able to you can others the opposite.
read the last couple paragraphs?
probably upgrading to .3 i had some weird issues with it and my instance is just me
this includes the hn drama.
Great Steam deck sd card on amazon prime day
The samsung pro sd cards are on sale with pretty good discounts. 5122g is ~60bucks. Bestbuy too
Some thoughts
I am thinking of mirroring /r/vagardening for the time being to help fill content. Thoughts? At least till we see how community grows
Greetings
Just saying Hi as a first post. Im a mod on /r/vagardening and if there are any virginia gardeners around stop in.
I am in Central va and own 25 acres. Lots of raised beds that are all watered from rain catchment and a solar pump. (we downt have water nor power at the garden)
Admin tools
Has anyone come up with some admin tools to display anything helpful regarding servers like
Community federation status last sync pass fail etc
General db stats size etc
Subscribe sits at pending
So i run my own instance of 1 user. Ive subscribed to about 30 communities and They have all been pending for days. Only 2 have been marked as subscribed. Is it just an overloaded thing? Ive tried unsub and subscribing again. no luck.
Latest lemmy behind cloudflare tunnel?
With the websocket changes and now eveything http calls any hints on running this in docker behid tunnel setup. Any gotchas. Ill use cloudflare for proxy i assume.
Some thoughts on lemmy link
I subscribed to a few communities. Ill let it run for a bit but whats the post rate? bot checks feed once an hour? etc etc I can see this being very noisy
Sheds
What plan resources do you use? Ive built a couple of icreatables firewood sheds and not bad. Just looking for other leanto type shed options
Lemmy and clouddflare
Right now i am running on a on a small vps. A couple of questions.
- Is there and easy way to migrate my instance to my homelab? Only two users but would like to preserve the setup.
Using clouflare tunnels cf would take place of the proxy etc? Just wondering if anyone has set it up yet and any gotchas
