Unlike most apps actually. Adobe PDF has it prominent "use our AI crap" and there is no way to remove it.
I'm not sure how to help, but so much of that game is interlinked with itself, where few things are standalone. It took a while for us to get through it.
Surprisingly, people say the gauntlet at the end is the hardest part, but we got through it pretty painless. It was some door that we missed as we ran through the world's that tripped us up and needed to get a spoiler to continue.
Same when we went through myst as well, the masterpiece one, not the new one.
Despite the limitations though, riven had an absurd amount of "views" or screens to give you the feeling that you were there. When I revisited it, I was afraid after the full 3d version, the kids and I wouldn't adapt to the still frames, but they held up surprisingly well!
It was easier I guess because it was a 3d world. But it was in Farleys house. When you go in through the back after you input the security code, that door stays open. When you close it from the inside, it reveals a tunnel that (eventually with seeds) leads to her private area with her things.
As a nod to this, there is a part in Obduction that does the same thing. If you've never played it, it's well worth it. Just keep the "cyan brain" on when you play!
There is a furniture store in the US called Badcock Furniture. Just sayin'
Yup. Chrome is the browser you use to download a good browser. Then you ADB it.
go to the post in boost's lemmy group and there is a link you need to click to let you into the group. then wait a bit, and it'll auto-install on your device.
See if the link below works. First time I'm posting links in Lemmy.
A fellow lifetimer! All I wanted was to use the windows desktop app version to play podcasts. Who would have thought it would lead to this while everyone else just lived in the phone?
It's a great app. Simple and clean. I left for podcast republic for a while because it supported groupings, but the PC added folders and well, they pulled me back in!
It's great as the free version, but if you were one of the lucky few that supported the desktop app years ago, the lifetime license is chefs kiss
Hi five if you shopped at Walden Software as well as Babbages!
Well, there is boost for lemmy that's out now. That a sale compared to sync.
That doesn't look like it was beaten on a CRT with bunny ears!
Capcom made some great Disney games back in the day. This, duck tales, darkwing duck. All worth while.
There are some posts about how to get it. It's not directly searchable from the store yet. Have to click a link from the dev and then you get access.
IPhone users think they're cool, but they're really not. Android has got the goods! ;-)
The closest thing I ever used that backed up actual hardware was a Playstation 1 card reader. At the time I was backing up game saves and porting them to the ps2 for emulation or something i forget exactly.
It was wild to do something like that on your computer back then. A Sony memory card in your PC? Bonkers.
Yup. I haven't tested how much actually does carry over, but my layout for views and such did, so maybe other stuff did as well.
Preferences from boost reddit carry over to boost lemmy
Not sure if this has been mentioned anywhere, but importing your settings profile after you export/backup from reddit boost works.
I had an old backup exported from the old boost and just tried importing, and it works. Just shows how much of the backend is still the good ol' boost.
This was the same for the other app, sync. Preferences were just about identical in both versions.
Sync. It has a monthly sub or lifetime for $100. But just the ads removed is still $20. Quite high no matter how you slice it.
You can just rename the icons l. That's what I did so I know which one is which. Or give it a custom icon. Least it works on android.
Seriously, that pricing is bonkers. I mean it's a great app, but not at the level of productivity software!
I was on boost and switched to that ine for a while, but now I'm back on boost again. Ah, choices.
