Thought on Graphene?
  • Ask me when the NSA knocks at your door, what I think about it? I think it's a big honeypot.

Think about it, if you were the NSA or the CIA would you push a privacy oriented OS? Honeypot vibes get stronger

  • Lawmakers want to know why there are fewer LGBTQ+ homeowners than straight: 'Concerning disparities'
  • Yeah I mean I understand that point, what I cannot understand it's why the media it's pushing and pushing and pushing it over and over again.

I think it's good caring about LGBTQ+ people, but personally I reached a point when seeing it every single day in the news over and over again become a meh.

Malnutrition in children not only in America but throughout the world is a more worrying issue than that and I don't see anyone pushing it over and over again every single day.

  • TBH IDK why there is so much woke hype about LGBTQ+ here on lemmy, trans here trans there.. I believe it's more like some kind of propaganda to get votes from young people.

People here give too much importance for 4.5% of the population.

  • As mind-reading technology improves, Colorado passes first-in-nation law to protect privacy of our thoughts
  • I believe it should work with some kind of brain waves(telepathy?), apparently some kind of device you put in your head and it read information from your brain, the spooky question would be if there is a way to make a device like that to be able to read information from someone's brain remotely. IDK this looks like a bad idea but anyway it's already here, according to the information I believe there will be more places where law get updated about it.

Edit: maybe it could be used for interrogation also, I mean you could know if someone it's saying the truth or not by reading their brain.

  • It would be good that shit works for that but I don't think so.. let's see what happens when the NSA have access to your thoughts.

Edit: I think they will apply the "if you didn't hide anything then there is nothing to worry about" discourse.

The first-in-the-nation law in Colorado includes biological or brain data in the State Privacy Act, similar to fingerprints if the data is being used to identify people.

Do you think people who consume drugs are cool or they have mental problems?

I'm not the kind who give a fuck about what other people usually do unless it directly affect me but I'm wondering what's the opinion about this on Lemmy.

With the advances in AI and telepathy fields, how do you see the future of privacy?

Edit: maybe at some point, the police will be able to read our thoughts to know if we are innocent or guilty with a non-invasive device.

Is it possible to run a LLM on a mini-pc like the GMKtec K8 and K9?

I have experience in running servers, but I would like to know if it's possible to do it, I just need a GPT 3.5 like private LLM running.
