I have moved to Mbin: @[email protected]
Well, that's the point of the Fediverse, you don't really have to choose which one will 'last longer' you choose which one suits you. All the Communities / Magazines on Lemmy & Kbin do interact with each other, it just depends on what sort of look, feel, and Instance you prefer. The point of a decentralized system is not to have one centralized point or even software to access it, you can choose what you prefer. Like I've been preferring Kbin over anything else in the Fediverse lately.
That's fair enough, I do hope more people move to the Fediverse in the future.
That's completely fair enough, I find topics are a good go-to but have recently been enjoying Kbin for the next of both.
Have you ever thought of following the people from Kbin instead of Mastodon?
Nice it's pretty well done, What sort of things do you normally draw?
I'm sure the Fediverse will, especially with how the current social media is heading towards.
Fair enough, I've been slowly looking Kbin as that seems to be a mix between the two.
Fair enough, Just created my Kbin account and the first 24 hours has already made me want to move over.
I didn't know that, Thank you for informing me what Downvotes where originally for.
Yeah, I can see where it could be used in that light, thanks for the insight.
Yeah looking to see if I can bring the content I've used on here across or if I need to 100% restart from scratch again. I do luckily already have a Kbin account that I've been messing around with but don't want to lose my Communities / Magazines.
One bag lol, I think this could be a good step for the future of my currently cluttered life.
Thank you, this really has opened up my mind.
It's good to know that Kbin is newer than Lemmy, probably hints why some of it needs a bit of work but I have enjoyed the two seconds of usage I have had on it. Also, I'm only just learning now about the stuff that Lemmy has done, Not sure it's been suppressed or people are just not informed, I will look further into Kbin thank you.
Yeah I'll have to look into that as if they are accepting not only Genocide but possibly the Genocide of Trans people then I've got to get out quick due to being a Trans Person myself.
Yeah I agree, Lemmy is such a strange name for the platform. As I look more into Kbin I do enjoy it a bit more in some areas but the simlicity of Lemmy's Interface is so cool to me but I do see some useful features on Kbin.
That is completly fair enough, I personally find Lemmy.world stable but some other people don't seem to have the same expereince. My guess is because of the location of the server.
The 30-Day Minimalism Game - Day 1
I chose to remove the old unless keys out of one of my draws as my first item. (I know I could have counted each key as single items but I thought it woud be better just getting rid of them all in one go).
Yeah from my research it does seem like Kbin might have more to be able to do on it and I can see why people enjoy it. I really enjoy the statistics on Kbin and wish they came to Lemmy but I much prefer the UI / UX of Lemmy, it's just clean and simple.
Yeah I do see the use of using multiple but I know that I will in the future prefer having a 'Main' and as of the moment it seems like my Lemmy will be that.
So why do you perfer Kbin over Lemmy?
I have most of the Fediverse-based account and seem to have just gravitated towards Lemmy over Kbin as found it very confusing, What makes you prefer Kbin over Lemmy or any other Fediverse instances?
Mastodon or Lemmy
So I've been starting to look further into the Fediverse and using it a lot more than any other part of the internet at this point. I wanna know the reasons why people might prefer Lemmy or Mastodon, I have both but seem to lean towards Lemmy for some reason, but not sure why maybe it's the simple design and you can find topics a little easier or it might be because I prefer the idea of Reddit over twitter.
Why do you prefer Lemmy? (or mastodon?)
How do I find people to talk to?
I want to start using Element a little to talk to people a bit more but i'm not sure where to start as it seems like no one wants to really speak on there sadly.
Abandoned / Lost Communities; Communitiy
So I have been finding Lemmy has abandoned and other words lost communities due to only having one admin and then them getting banned making the whole community be unmoderated.
Is there a community that deals with Lost / Abandoned Communities?
Is there a Decentralised Spotify / Music Platform Alternative?
So I know about Mastodon, Lemmy / Kbin, PeerTube, and Element but is there a Fediverse alternative to Music & Podcasts (preferably one that doesn't connect to Crypto)
Can you claim 'Abandoned' Communities
So I came across someone who was community squatting and now have seen they have been banned from Lemmy.world is there anyway I or anyone else can Claim any of the Communities they created as they now no longer have any mods.
What is one thing you wish came to GTA V?
Simply what the title says, What is one thing you wish came to GTA V?
Is the Kindle App good?
I don't read to often but found out that it's cheaper to buy the books I do read on Kindle, is the app on phones good as I don't really think paying out for Kindle is worth it for me at the moment.
When will Threads open to the Fediverse?
I personally have used Threads, it's not bad, privacy is bad but I would love to be able to message people from Mastodon to Threads users but I'm unsure when they are adding it to there system, tbh seems like they never will as they just want to collect more data.
Post to Comment Ratio
What sort of Post to Comment Ratio would you say is a good range for Lemmy / KBin?
I'm interested in knowing what people think a good ratio of Post to Comments are on a Profile, like what would be a good standard / possibly amazing looking profile have for Post:Comments
There's two main Minecraft Communities?
There's this one and [email protected] this one seems to be a smaller one and wouldn't it be good to create communities that run together instead of separate into multiple smaller ones that make no sense and get less traffic?
Finally found a Southampton Community
Hey I'm Samantha I live in Southampton UK. It's nice to see other Soton people on the Fediverse
Does the Lemmy / Kbin (Fediverse) have more helpful content than Reddit?
Pretty much the question, Does it have better help than Reddit?
Reddit Copy Project?
Has anyone started to create some form of ‘Copy’ Project for Reddit, Not like a clone of the site or something. I’m more thinking of a project that’s goal is to almost duplicate what Reddit currently has on it directly to Lemmy or other Fediverse platforms?
So what Square is this for?
Like I know there's SquareSpace, SquareUp & just a normal Square ig but what is this community for?
