I'd also add Balatro and Terraria to that list.
Fluency in spanish doesn't help with french in my experience. While both might be romance languages, french pronounciation makes it so that in conversation words are really, really hard to translate without prior knowledge on some words, at least for me. My first language is spanish, for reference. Portuguese and italian are a 50/50 depending on the accent.
Yeah, meds have helped, in my case. At least benzos, but I try not to use them since they were explicitly prescribed as a last resort. I gotta book an appointment at a second doctor one of these days... It wasn't really working out with my previous doctor.
This worked until I developed GAD. Now it's hard to get motivated and hard to wind down, lol.
Oh, does decaf make good espresso? I got pretty spoiled with my taste, living in a coffee producing country, lol.
Yup! By the latter quarter of my time in college I was up to 10 cups of strong af black coffee before midday, and a quarter pack of cigarettes. Then the pandemic hit and it was harder than ever getting cigs and was forced to quit cold turkey when I got infected. Not dealing with traffic also made the anxiety I got from coffee not managable and had to tone that down too.
I've managed to reduce my coffee intake to once a day at most, early in the AM. Mostly for the flavour. A good shot of espresso with condensed milk does wonders, but will leave me somewhat jittery since my resistance has dropped so much.
I kinda miss drinking coffee from 6am to 10pm.

How modern? Because there's lots of artist from the late XXth who had interesting and recognizable styles that are hard to replicate, both in style and vibe. Moebius (Jean Giraud) comes to mind. It is deceptively simple, but to replicate it you need to have a solid grasp on character design, stipple shading and crosshatching, color theory, and composition. It's not traditional comic-book style, and you cannot approach it with that mindset and expect a good outcome.
Current artists, I suppose the artists behind Valorant's art? There's a lot of decision making when it comes to how much detail to include, since its very stylized. But I'd argue it's not as hard a style to replicate as Moebius'. Bartosz Kosowski also comes to mind. He's really, really good at depicting things in his style, and you'd need a solid grasp at anatomy and faces to replicate it.
Very disappointing, but expected. Can't trust liberals not to fuck up.
Not much, honestly. One night this year, my friends and I planned on going to a bar to welcome back a buddy who we hadn't seen in a long time. Something happened, can't remember what, and we had to go to someone's place instead to celebrate.
Later in the evening we saw on the news that the bar had been shot up, and plenty were dead. Bar was shut down soon after. It had a good crowd, wasn't too noisy, the food wasn't that bad, and prices were cheaper than other places in the city. My guess is that it was a money laundering scheme and someone would benefit from having it being shut down, because I didn't hear anything about anyone important being there at the moment as if to imply it was a hit.
Lucky us.
Valid points. I don't really stealth, don't have the patience for it honestly unless I have a vetterli with HV, but it's a valid strategy. I tend to prefer a lot of movement over being sneaky. Keeps me alive longer and nets me more kills. Then again, I haven't played in a while, with only one match since the update. Things might've changed.
Agree on most points. But would push back on two specifically:
- "Try to make your first shot a kill": I'd say instead of risking overthinking in order to make a kill, trying to find out what the next step would be after taking a shot should be priority. Going for a kill specifically could result in a bad position between two teams. I'd instead opt for blocking an extract or supply and control high-ground, especially with Necromancer
- Hand crossbow ammo choices. Fire bolts, to me, hold the most value. They burn small chunks on direct contact, burn bodies, and can instantly blow up barrels. Only downside when compared with poison ammo is it won't go through walls, which at a low experience level you won't try anyway. Instead, I'd recommend a loadout that looked like this: Winny C (infantry 73c I think) with levering, Ironeye and FMJ, hand crossbow with fire ammo and bolt thrower, melee tool, medkit, traps, one big regen, one big stamina, one dynamite, and an empty slot, with bonus traits being the one that revives you with full health, the one that revives you with full stamina, and kiteskin for easier flanks.
Depends. I'm aware of the difference, but how much I care about it depends entirely on how much I like the hobby or tech. If it's food, PCs, and clothes (as in, no cheap materials that won't last a year) I care and will go beyond reasonable expectations to ensure that whatever I buy or cook is the best within reason. Anything else, as long as it works.
I don't have the energy for more than that.
That, and most people don't know how to disable the device from their device manager.
Isn't San Pellegrino Nestle?
Ig the worldbuilding for my custom 5e setting counts? It's sort of a continuation of the forgotten realms, with a heavy dose of Warhammer 40K and Doom thrown in. The world of Toril was shattered, and the fragments frozen in place by a divine sacrifice, leaving each landmass cluster within reach of one another (within Voidships).
The government in question was the Dwarf Assembly. It's a loose confederation of citadels within these clusters. Each one dedicated itself to one trade (for example, mining clusters, smithing clusters, etc.), with each trade being led by the oldest dwarf. Assembly-wide decisions are made with the agreement of all clusters.
Tensions rise within each cluster whenever a problem cannot be solved by tradition, with older dwarves being quite proud and reticent to veer away from it. Tensions rise within the Assembly whenever a younger elder is introduced, being seen as inexperienced.
It's not meant to be perfect, I wanted it to be a source of dramatic tension whenever the party ever stepped foot on dwarven soil. I also really like the mental image of dwarves with ushankas.
Hm, have studies been made on this cipher related to dyslexia? I'm not dyslexic but I've been reading into it lately (looking to get into UI/UX) and this seems like maybe it could be useful.

So, uh, Chinese Room. Think they're the walking sim guys. Vibe looks different to the first one, less gothic punk and more succulent goth mommy. Not sure how I feel about it. Guess I'll wait for vertical slices.
