  • Troubador is not a random string

except it is not troubador. it is troubador, ampersand, digit.

if you know there are exactly two additional characters and you know they are at the end of the string, the first number is really slightly bigger (like 11 times)

once the random appendix is 3 characters or more, the second number wins

and moral of the story is: don't use xkcd comic, however funny it is, as your guidance to computer security. yes, the comic suggestions are better than having the password on a post-it on your monitor, but this is 21st century ffs, use password wallet.

  • Getting into EDC: Bag vs Pocket?
  • i think you should wear things because you have a need for them and not just blindly copy some fallout wannabe's list.

two gas lighters? really? keychain flashlight? doesn't everyone have integrated led in the phone? separate knife AND multitool?

maybe if you get rid of some of the nonsense, you will have easier time carrying it around.

  • What is a stupid question?
  • which is an aphorism meant to destigmatize expressing ignorance

teacher of mine expressed it in the form of "there are two types of questions - smart ones and those you shouldn't be ashamed to ask".

  • Biden says it’s ‘time to outlaw’ AR-15 after Trump assassination attempt
  • I don’t know what you’re talking about and I don’t care. But I asked you a serious question before that

    • you don't know what i am talking about
    • you don't care
    • you asked serious question

why have you asked serious question if you don't care what i am talking about?

we are talking about a fact that people fighting for their lives in ukraine and some redneck joe who needs automatic weapon as a fashion accessory to his monster truck are two different groups, where one of them needs the weapon and the other one does not.

you are desperately trying to steer the discussion away to bullshit details by pretending to have deep interest in whether the people fighting for their life should be called military or not and demanding "serious answers".

    here is the serious answer.

guerilla in ukraine needs the weapons, no matter how it is called.

redneck joe doesn't need and shouldn't have the weapons, because - ding ding ding - he is likely to be the fascist you are so afraid of. if you think you will fix the problem by throwing more guns into it, think again.

not one time in the history of mass shootings in the us was "bad guy with weapon" stopped by "good guy with weapon". your illusion you will protect yourself is just that, an illusion. if someone decides to kill you, he will shoot you in the back and you will not see that coming.

i don't have a solution to fucking us weapon problem, if i had, i would be collecting my nobel peace prize. but it is experimentally proven that more weapons is not a solution to a problem - more weapons is the fucking problem.

  • Biden says it’s ‘time to outlaw’ AR-15 after Trump assassination attempt
  • Paramilitary is not military.

i suggest you take a deep breath and try to decide what you are arguing, because at this point i seriously doubt you know that, you are just in opposition to anything.

What is your solution to this problem?

do you seriously believe that more automatic weapons is going to fix the problem?

  • have i destroyed my cpu?

hi. i have broken my cpu by incorrectly plugging it into the socket (socket 1200). is it slightly bent in two different corners, as seen in the photos - https://imgur.com/a/Id3LH3T

at first i wasn't getting any reaction from the power button at all. after realizing what happened and correctly repositioning the cpu, the motherboard now starts, , fans and harddrives spool up, but i am not getting any signal on the on-board graphic card.

was anyone in similar situation? am i done and do i have to throw it away? is there a chance to fix it by forcibly bending it back?

    thank you for any tips.

    !

    https://onlysky.media/mclark/the-charade-of-showing-care-in-culturally-sanctioned-ways/

    Overview:

A disappointing episode of SNW throws out Star Trek's long history of fluid and deep character bonding to create a ridiculous hierarchy of legitimate care between friends and other loved ones.
