I was moderating this community and yesterday all of a sudden not only that community does not appear any more in my subscriptions, but also all the posts and comments I created there are "gone" from my user detail (i.e. they are not returned by the GET /user call), but they are still there and visible from anonymous users and from other accounts. Did I break some rule?

I just tried to access the [email protected] community from my logged in browser and I can't see any posts, except the announcement. When I access the community from the same browser but in a private window, I can see lots of pots. A while back I also had an issue, where I couldn't see my Post on my profile. I could open the link, but a lot of anwers were hidden. I still got notification. When I opened the link in a private window, I could see all anserws. I think my account is somehow broken or sth. Can someone please help me? I already set the Lemmy Setting to default.

It doesn't seem to block all special characters though. I was able to put square brackets in the title.

EDIT: for some reason it allowed single quotes when editing my post. Maybe it was just the '&' that was causing issues.

EDIT2: '&' doesn't seem to cause issues in posts either. It may just be effecting the bio and nothing else.

EDIT3: I'm getting an error that says: SyntaxError: JSON.parse: unexpected character at line 1 column 1 of the JSON data when trying to upload an avatar. I'm removing [solved] from the title for now. I'm also going to submit an issue on github later.

I am discuss.online user, and from past few days, it is not syncing with lemmy.world.

The posts and comments made on lemmy.world communities show up on discuss.online, but they aren't synced back to lemmy.world server.

One example is this comment by the discuss.online admin: https://discuss.online/comment/1101565 It doesn't show up on: https://lemmy.world/post/2424133

There are many other such examples. The admins at discuss.online have checked at their side and can't find any issue. Can you check if there's something at your end? Or if there's something that discuss.online can do to make it work again?

Edit: Just want to add, discuss.online is not having any problem with federating with any other server. At least those that I have tried.

I can view my post from other instances just fine, but not here on lemmy.world. As you can see from my profile, I have posted the same post multiple times, which I want deleted.

Since a few days lemmy.world won't let me log in when I'm using a browser on my desktop computer.

I tried Chrome, Firefox and Edge including private tabs and without any extensions. I enter my username and password and then it prompts me to enter my 2fa token. When I do and press login nothing happens.

It doesn't say it's wrong or was rejected. The login button turns into the circle loading animation and then a second later back to login.

The weird thing is that on my phone it works using apps like Liftoff or chromebrowser.

What am I missing ?

Okay I feel very stupid now... It appears that for some reason the automatic time synchronization of my Windows computer was not working properly and therefore the OTP codes were out of sync and were being rejected. Lemmy was just not telling me that the OTP codes are wrong. After manually clicking the sync button in the date and time settings it works now.

I was browsing [email protected] without sign in, was able to see new posts, the moment I logged in, All I could see was posts older than 10 days in the same community ( tried sorting but no luck )

Edit:

Changing the language in settings from "Undetermined" to "English" fixed it for me.

Today I seem to be unable to comment in a local comunity. The "Post" button keeps spinning.

I tried reloading the page, reload the cache (ctrl+f5), waiting more. Yesterday posting was working for me.
