It may not be for you, but I started streaming to avoid playing games in self imposed solitary confinement.
I have people drop in and talk about their day and what games they play etc, maybe you could drop in on a small streamer and see if that helps? Ones with a discord and a community can lead to natural friend making.
Or if you want to DM me on here, that's cool. Disclaimer, I'm on the spectrum so find socialising difficult. But I also know loneliness sucks!
What sort of games do you like to play? I've been playing some Baldur's Gate 3 and it's been pretty fun. I also started rewatching Castle In The Sky by Studio Ghibli, they're movies are always great. I've heard Nightmare Before Christmas is coming back into theaters this year, so I've been thinking about seeing it in 3D but I don't know if it actually looks good in 3D so I dunno.
I've been mostly tinkering with my Steam Deck, and playing a bunch of games on and off. Thinking about maybe replaying the STALKER games since I've been getting nostalgic about them. Baldur's Gate 3 has been on my radar, and it does indeed look fun!
I'm way behind on Gibli movies, I definitely need to watch more of those whenever I get the time. Spirited Away is amazing.
Princess Mononoke is my favorite one rn, idk why, but I've been meaning to rewatch Kiki's Delivery Service again because the music in that is just great. I actually have a book of Ghibli sheet music for violin and that song is pretty nice, although it's kinda difficult lol. Merry-Go-Round of Life from Howl's Moving Castle is quite a bit easier and more fun. I also found some sheet music for How To Train Your Dragon which actually has some really good music in it.
I've been wanting a Steam Deck, since I already use Linux and I love my Steam Controller, but I don't really have a use for it so idk what I'd even do with it besides just sitting on the couch next to my pc lol.
