Okay so I finished my re-read of A Game Of Thrones a few days ago. And I've got to say, I think I enjoyed it even more the second time round. It's been 12 years since I last read it, and in that time I've totally fallen in love with that universe, so I was reading it from a much more informed place, and it was all the better for it.
Now I'm switching it up. I like to alternate between fiction and nonfiction, so now the serious stuff steps up. And this time...I'm going Presidential.
Yup. I'm reading The Leaders We Deserved by Alvin Stephen Felzenberg. It's a book about how we rank US Presidents, and how maybe we need to re-evaluate the ways in which we do it.
Venomous Lumpsuckers by Ned Beauman. Its got a good dark humour, satirical on the world as it is now but set in a near future. The world's living through the consequences of our actions today... or so it seems so far.
Let us know how it holds up, I remember it as a kids book but maybe it's better than that.
I'm still reading the stormlight archive as per forever but also the secret barrister and just started asimovs foundation which has been on my list for years.
